Part of an ongoing series of organic vs man made.Or maybe just a fascination with curves and straight lines either way i felt this one had to be done as a follow on from the first. Thanks sjem. for pushing me in the right direction.
I wish eye could find a way to give nature back it’s earth!
My dogs friends take off on their own adventures ink on watercolour, photoshop (c) REO 2008
ink on watercolor paper “if we eat it, we will never be the same again” she said / “i don’t want to be” he replied…
I created this drawing with art markers and a micron .01 black pen. The paper is Stonehenge 100% Cotton, Vellum finish, 250 GSM, neutral ph/acid free paper. It is 8×8 inches. I absolutely LOVE this paper and plan to buy more in different sizes. It beats ANY Strathmore Bristol Papers, Hands Down! Any monies made from the sale of this art will be donated to The Philadelphia Mission. http://www.philadelphia33.org/
“THANK YOU” Barbara Glatzeder, for buying a card!!! I used a black india ink pen for this design. All of the proceeds from sales of any form of this work will be donated to The Philadelphia Mission. http://www.philadelphia33.org/
This is my enchanted tree of love. / The original was drawn with a black inky pen on my visual diary. / Took me two days to draw – during one class time and during church. / Haven’t figured out how I should compose it as a image. / But here it is as a new tee… so I can buy it… you can too if you want…
This is a print of the original piece entitled “I will wait for you here” / It was hand drawn with ink and digitally altered with color and texture. The background is old fabric that was scanned and copied into the print. I absolutely adore this piece. It shoots me right back to fifth grade when my best friend had her dad build us a swing in the woods. I used to swing for hours looking up at the birds…and wait. Im not sure what I was waiting for back then…but it didnt matter, I was happiest there. This print is available for purchase as cards that you can mail to someone you adore (Or more likely, keep for yourself and frame!) and a few prints. You can always view more of my work here: / www.dazeychic.etsy.com Thanks so much for looking! ~Shelli
Tree. East Indian ink and ecoline. Very simple drawing.
Another ink drawing based on a fable, this time of the fox and the raven. Check the stories out if you’re not familiar with them, they’re short but really nice.
ink on watercolor paper it was something like a dream. / something like a memory. / something missing that leaves a hole. / a place i’d been trying to avoid. / the messenger guides me there one more. / the air is still and cold. / i will carry it with me. / ...always
This pub was demolished in 1891, so the photo I used will be in the public domain by now. It’s the first pen and ink I have done for a while and it took ages, hence the lack of new paintings :) The pub stood about a mile from where I live. Another pub with the same name replaced it. It’s A3 sized and I used Rotring Isograph and Rapidograph pens. Because of all the detail this didn’t photograph too well, so here is a close-up: /
ink on watercolor paper. 5.5” x 11”
ink and pencil on watercolor paper. “sit here, be quiet, and don’t move!” she commanded / the boy sat / he sat until his rump went numb / but he was not quiet / he was not still / it was here that he discovered his greatest power / noone could hold him down / as long as he could think / he was free…
pen drawing
mixed media on wood ++original sold++ sort of a drawing, sort of a painting.
ink on watercolor paper. 4.5×6.5 inches. they were dark times. / poison memories infected my thoughts. / elusive sleep was wrought with sinister dreams. / i luckly escaped with my life… will upload bigger image later…
Ink, wax and water-colour on a full sheet of Saunders cold pressed, 300gms with printing techniques. / I love this paper for it’s soft but meaty texture and the randomness of its surface. Full sheets appeal because I get to keep the deckle edges as part of the rawness I look for with the direct application of water soluble hues. I read recently how the Japanese think – or have traditionally thought of – paper as sacred. Working with paper is always a thrill for me ….... its tactility and the very simple relationship with the fabric of trees is a delightful inter-relationship
drawing in pen
ink on watercolor paper. trees…
ink on watercolor paper with collage an experiment of sorts for a machine…
This is a print of one of my “rough” sketches that started out as a tiny doodle in my sketch pad…it turned into something bigger…and I fell in love with it. I just follow my pencil…whatever it does I go with. This was hand drawn and then enhanced digitally to give the piece color. I did not erase my pencil lines because I feel it adds some needed character and personality! I love the green…Im so loving green lately! Anyway, its available for purchase as cards and a canvas print. / Thanks for looking! ~Shelli
