  • Took this on Stockton Bight, a long series of sand dunes that stretch from Anna Bay to Newcastle. These traps were placed to protect Williamtown air base (I believe) during World War II. 26km or so of these, 2m high concrete reinforced pyramids, and now all you can find is this small group, situated in a sand blow. Even they come and go depending on the wind. We took a tour from Anna bay, to see the tank traps, tin city and the wreck of the Sygma(?) I think the tank traps were the highlight for me OTHER NEW ZEALAND / FROGS / LENSBABY / INFRARED / BEACH / SPAM / PANORAMAS / LANDSCAPES / INDUSTRIAL

  • You know sjem? The one who has all the ideas, and wins everything and everyone thinks is a great guy? Yeah, that one. Well he wasn’t totally happy with one of my designs and requested another version. And because I’m nothing if not incredible generous, and ever so slightly bored, I made it for him. / / The rather fine above shot is actually by sjem /

  • Once functional gears, now seized and rusted in place, forgotten and neglected. The beauty and texture of industrial decay is all around us, if you know where to look. This was taken at the Glenwood Power Station, in Yonkers, NY. / http://www.hudsonvalleyruins.org/

  • The Titanic smashed into the iceberg. / Screams broke out along with utter pandemonium. / Nevertheless, the men with their instruments in their tidy little suits, sat upright, swallowed hard, and with swift acceptance began playing the most heartfelt rendition of “Nearer My God To Thee” they’d ever played or known before… / / and then all was silent. / / sold: mounted print / / / / / /
