  • Featured in The Shameless Self Promotion Group, 21st of May 2009 Far off the beaten track along side a dirt road in a paddock are a selection of Holden Utes painted by some well known & not so well known Australian artists. They can be found near Ootha and Condoblin in the Central West Slopes and Plains of NSW, Australia. Well worth a trip out! more info here Artist: Michael Jones From the plaque. “Often romanticzied in classic literature our outback heroes come to life in this tribute to the stockman. Droving the ‘long paddock’ means sleeping rough and making the most of limited resources available along the way. Essential to survival in the outback is the intimate knowledge of the land shared by Aboriginal stockman.” Canon EOS 50D / Canon 28-135mm lens / f/7.1 / 1/320 sec / ISO 200 / f/l 135 mm Thank you for looking.

  • oil on canvas 106×76cm This is a depiction of what may have been had Europeans listened learnt and embraced the Aboriginal Culture in 1788. This is not an indigineous painting. I have attempted to show European development of Australian landscape overlaid by Aboringinal landscape and culture. These are images from within my mind after living in Austalia for 48 years. It is my thoughts of a different landscape would exist one richer and healthier and thereby by default all the inhabitants of this great land may have shared a wealth of knowledge culturally and spiritually perhaps an existance with more balance.
