  • Mixed media painting. / Acrylics, collage, inks, coloured pencils and black marker. A depiction of that feeling of passing time, while there’s no change, or progression .. For those of us who demand a lot from ourselves, time is the worst enemy. I guess this is my representation of how sometimes my mind is racing with thoughts while my body stays in the one spot unable to keep up.

It lives only in southwest Australia where large-scale clearing for farming has fragmented much of its habitat, particularly mature eucalypts such as salmon gum and wandoo that have suitable hollows for nesting. / Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoos feed on the seeds of a variety of native and introduced plant species and on insect larvae. Endangered: Birds Australia (WA) is leading a recovery program that assists rural communities in the management of breeding populations of Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo and implementing suitable recovery actions. These recovery actions include protection of existing breeding and feeding sites, revegetation, the development of corridors between breeding and feeding sites, repair of old and damaged hollows and control of competitor species, such as feral bees. • Rainbow Lorikeet is donated to the Wildlife_Appeal_Group for the wildlife victims of the Victorian Bushfires. All of the proceeds will go to WRAP (Wildlife Rescue And Protection Incorporated) ========================================================= / Featured in the Top 10 of Art_for_Charity – March Avatar Challenge ========================================================= / Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Scientific name: Trichoglossus haematodus / Family: Psittacidae The Rainbow Lorikeet is unmistakable with its bright red beak and colourful plumage. Both sexes look alike, with a blue (mauve) head and belly, green wings, tail and back, and an orange/yellow breast. They are often seen in loud and fast-moving flocks, or in communal roosts at dusk. They are such colourful parrots that it is hard to mistake them for other species. The related Scaly-breasted Lorikeet is similar in size and shape, but can be distinguished by its all-green head and body. Found in coastal regions across northern and eastern Australia, with a local population in Perth (Western Australia), initiated from aviary releases. The Rainbow Lorikeet has a wide range of treed habitats including rainforest and woodlands, as well as in well-treed urban areas. Canon PowerShot A650 IS / 12.1MP – 6x Optical Zoom – 4x Digital Zoom

  • Brush-tailed Possum is donated to the Wildlife_Appeal_Group for the wildlife victims of the Victorian Bushfires. All of the proceeds will go to WRAP (Wildlife Rescue And Protection Incorporated) ========================================================= Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Brush-tailed possums are marsupials, and their young are usually born in May and June after a gestation period of 17 days. The newborn possum finds its way to the mother’s pouch and attaches itself to a teat. After feeding and growing for about five months in the pouch, the young possum spends another two months clinging to its mother’s back as she moves about. Usually only one young is born at a time, and males do not take part in looking after the young. By the time they are seven months old, the young possums are independent of their mothers. They are fully grown by about 10 months, and the females will usually start to breed for the first time when they reach 12 months of age. The brush-tailed possum is the most widely distributed possum in Australia. It can be found in forests and woodlands all along the east coast, and also lives in inland areas along tree-lined rivers and creeks. A nocturnal animal, it is active at night and usually spends the day sleeping. Canon PowerShot A650 IS / 12.1MP – 6x Optical Zoom – 4x Digital Zoom

  • The Headquarters of a Multi-National Aerial Attack Rack Company. These After-Market Accessories are purchased by civilians to beef up the weaponry that is available to them when they are traversing the countryside or water in their relatively flimsy civilian vehicles. There are many variations: Attahk Rahk, Recon Rahk, Gas Rahk, Rocket Rahk etc. Most are Remotely Controlled from the Cabin of the Vehicle on which they are fixed until needed. The Corporate Headquarters is deliberately impossible to access for most of the nearby population. It is a heavily diamond plated structure in the mist of a corrosive sea. Native Diamond sheathed or hulled vessels are expensive and Euphorium or Viridium is even more so. Organic Based materials are dissolved on contact, while metallic boats and hovercraft tend to fall to pieces after 1-3 Hours of exposure. The Only practical means of transit to and from this secure location is by air. Armoured Helicopters and Corporate Airships are escorted by Private Air Superiority Squadrons (3) and a Mercenary Squadron of Interceptors.
