  • Inspired by NIN, originally a mock NIN gig poster, but with the logos and text removed. Medium: Indian ink + Photoshop CS2

  • This has been floating around my room for absolutely ages now, but ive only just had the time to actually sit down and finish it. It was half coloured in, but because it had been like that for ages it just didnt seem right to colour the rest, so i got out a brush and streaked it with water. The flowers are took off google images. I’ll let you figure out the symbolism in it :) —-—-—-—-—-—-—— / Thank You For Viewing / Original By Emma Black / Do Not Use Without Permission

  • Wow, it was a wonderful winter wonderland today, over 8 inches actually. This is the scene in my front garden, that lamp sticks up out of a huge Juniper bush I’ve got growing there, but as you can see it’s just covered in snow. ;-) I love winter. This is a 3 layer HDR with added moon. The light is natural, I just switched on the garden lamp prior to shooting the photo. Snow was falling as I shot this and some other ones like it, I held a brolly over my camera and tripod! / Woohoo…winter is here!!

  • Close up of the bow wave from the boat on a calm day at sea.The ocean really was oily smooth this day, with some great reflections and effects from the moving water and light.

  • Placed in the top ten in a challenge in The Collector’s Corner – July 09 A coiled tape-measure on a pink background – we spend so much time measuring ourselves, measuring others, comparing and competing. Featured in the group “Domestic Art – home is where the art is” – Feb 2009

  • Title does not suit the mood that I have added, but this tree was growing through a crack in the rock. It was in Cyprus up on the high rocky outcrop where / the Byzantines built Kantara castle in the 10th Century. Not too much left of the castle, but it is spralled up and over all these rocks so difficult to get a picture of the castle itself. :

  • This tiny bird (8cms or 3 inches), a male rufous hummingbird, is eager to beautify himself for “the ladies” of his world. He is a prolific “lover”, who enjoys mating with multiple partners. In this image, he is preening his feathers. Captured in the Vancouver area with a Nikon D300, Nikkor f4 600 mm lens, 1.4 teleconverter, ISO 400, f7.1, 1/1600s.

  • Nine Inch Nails at Festival Hall, Melbourne 2009

  • The Pearl Crescent is a very small butterfly with a wing span of about an inch and a half. This one was feeding on spring clover blossoms and was extraordinarily cooperative, allowing me to get very close with the macro lens. (Image is full frame, no cropping).

  • I got my head, but my head is unraveling / Cant keep control, cant keep track of where its traveling / I got my heart but my heart is no good / And you’re the only one that’s understood / I come along but I don’t know where you’re taking me / I shouldn’t go but you’re reaching back and shaking me / Turn off the sun, pull the stars from the sky / The more I give to you, the more I die And I want you / You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug You make me hard, when I’m all soft inside / I see the truth, when I’m all stupid eyed / The arrow goes straight through my heart / Without you everything just falls apart My blood wants to say hello to you….. -NIN, The Perfect Drug VERY old photo / Edit: OOPS, forgot to add a title! © Jessica Walker

  • For those of you who are looking forward to winter. Living high in the Colorado Rockies was magical. On occasion, it was also heck of a lot of work. This snow is the one that drove us to move down from 7700 feet. This is our seasonal neighbor’s cabin. We were farther down the lane. It took me a week with a big two-stage snow blower to clear a blower wide path from the house to the street. That was the single largest storm we experienced in 12 years in the Poudre Canyon west of Fort Collins. As winter approaches, I can’t say I’m sorry to be living in Arizona. Taken with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ12 with layers of white with a touch of texture underneath to reduce pixelation. • The 3.7-Inch QF AA was Britain’s primary heavy anti-aircraft gun during World War II, the equivalent of the German 88 mm FlaK with a slightly larger calibre of 94 mm. It remained in use after the war until AA guns were replaced by guided missiles in the late 1950s. Taken at Chatcham Dockyard Kent
