American history in the making as the first Afro-American is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. God bless you as you take this giant leap to lead our country and to pull it out of the crisis we have been put through for the past eight years. May you rise and shine in the glory of the people and not forget those words of wisdom, freedom and the Constitution…of the people, by the people and for the people of the United States of America. ROCK ON AMERICA!! God, grant me the serenity / to accept the things I cannot change; / the courage to change the things I can; / and the wisdom to know the difference. An Obama shirt design. Obama and the button
January 20th is often an important day. Typically for me it is my birthday. However, much of the world found itself glued to America’s hopes of changing their lives and dreams through the heart of one man on this particular January 20th, 2009. As a Canadian, a close friend of America, I found myself drawn to our American cousins hopes and dreams too on this day, anything other than a typical birthday, for me. In his speech Mr. Obama said ” it’s time for America to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get on with making America what our forefathers started”.......On this celebrated day for America, my birthday, I bought a new Canon 50D and with it set out to create an inauguration photo that I wanted and hoped would symbolize and recall for the world and for Americans what Mr.Obama meant in his speech. He meant get to work – hard work – difficult work – accept less as others have and create a strong tomorrow for your children. Here I submit my first work with My “Obama Camera’ in honor of America and in hope that America can begin to become what Americans hope it can be. From Canada to America : “Dust yourselves off” !
Everyone seems to be cashing in on Obama mania in the states and else where so why aren’t you? I decided not to do just a boring horay for Obama design and thought it much more entertaining to give him funny glasses. Still I’m glad he is in and that moron Bush is out. lets hope he can do the world some good :@) Make sure you also check out my Bubble Site or my profile for more great designs, examples of which you can see below.
Scores of Australians watched a rebroadcast of Barack Obama’s inauguration in Federation Square, Melbourne, Australia, on Jan. 21, 2009. Several Australians told me that they’d gotten up at 4 a.m. to watch the event in real time.
It took about two hours to do. Looks pretty crap… but look closer. Read the awesome inauguration . I did. And I’m not even American. Buy it. Show patriotism. Contribute to the battle against the poverty of Leaping Pig.
