In this abstract, I have attempted to capture the essence of an Arabic street market scene. / I worked quickly and used instinct and subconscious, rather than technical composition skill. I have used glued painted paper shapes, then painted an impressionist watercolour scene around the collage. 16th Sept 2008 update. / I’m currently working on a larger, watercolour-only, version of this 14”x10”. / less abstract and more real, but with impressionistic aspects.

An untouched close up(with exposure)of a submerged brige when a few beaver’s dams just collaps a couple of nights ago.I couldn’t drink or even used the water in my house for 2 days.We were not able to go out of our area for a day.It happenned at night and we could hear the raging fload so loud,it was amazing. The firemen were at the bridge watching when I took that close-up.This image is the result of the destroyed bridge, half of it just went along with the water,a very impressive scene to see and to hear because of the dead trees and rocs rolling over the road. The little touches of colors you see are the reflection comming from the lights of the firemen’s truck.I didn’t know if I would have enough light,in fact I didn’t have any idea about the result.I thought about using exposure for the creamy texture….I just remember that my boyfriend kept asking me,how much time you still need,5 or 10 min. and I answered 15 …. :)) He wanted to go to sleep,it was 1 o’clock in the morning. / / /

/ This work was inspired by the wonderful poem UMBRELLA of the very talented artist ANAISNAIS / Thank you Anna-Marie for let to share this beautiful poem here. ’’ UMBRELLA / / by Anaisnais There she stands / Centre stage for all to see / Tall and slender / Precariously she balances. I reach out for her / Draw her to me / My hand skims her body / Slowly reaches her skirt. Playful fingers find hidden areas / Delighted her legs spring forth / Displaying the very beauty / Of her delicately placed, adorned skirt. Gaily she dances around / Dizzily twisting and turning / In the brightness of day shading / She gently tends to my needs. Personal ballerina takes to toes leaping / Merrily bobbing up and down / As emotional to her performance / Clouds cry a thousand tears for her. Reaching our destination / Slightly shaken, she leans / Watches me, / Quietly drips, against the wall. Reminiscent of the day’s fulfillment / We acknowledge one another, silently / Restful knowing we shall be / One, once more. ’’ I truly appreciate all your kind comments and support. / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. ‘Lady Australia’ is my first collaboration. Eugenia Bacon of ‘Myslewis’ is my Australian friend. I have known and admired her for amost two years now. When I first got on the web at greeting card universe I had only been on the computer for a couple of months and she kindly took pity on me :-D, [ I was making one snafu after another ] she lead me through the trials of learning Photoshop, [ advantage of having an Australian friend, I work at night and she was up to answer my questions no mather how silly they were ]. I have always loved her work. She is the first to encourage me to explore color and here are the results. I hope you like it. I have used her line drawing, ‘Venetian Style Mask’, you can see it as a birthday card here on Redbubble. / When I was decorating this, the song ‘Waltzing Matilda” kept running through my head. I had always heard the upbeat versions. I was looking on You-Tube and found this version. I warn you this will tug your tear ducts, I hadn’t really listened to the words before. / Waltzing Matilda FEATURED the Demensions Group / FEATURED the Fantastic Primitive Art Group / I am especially honored that this design has been featured twice. You have a Yank that thinks Australia, it’s people, and redbubble are pretty special. As you can tell I have been influenced by that dramatic sense of color that are a trademark of all the Australian artist that I have met on the web. I have put this design on a T-shirt now so you can not only look at it, you can wear it :-). Note: I just got a reproduction back, the color is outstanding. The brilliant color you see on screen is what you will get This is Eugenia’s ‘Venetian Style Mask’, I elongated it [an old fashion artist trick] then took quite a bit of liberty, but made sure I left the wonderful bones intact. Greeting Card For that bright flash of color or as a conversation piece in your decor use a small ‘Mounted Print’ on a plate easel, chic. Framed Print
Acrylic on Canvas Original painting is 22”x28.” A piece of Waterhouse’s ENCHANTED GARDEN was inspiration for My Garden Enchanted.
Oil on stretched canvas 900×1300 mm Dedicated to Roney, who lived with his little brother on the streets in São Paulo and was tragically murdered in 2008 at the age of 12. Their lives have been pretty much guided by fate and fortune, like most other kids on the streets of the big cities in the world. An unstable childhood due to their mother’s alcoholism, has led them to end up on the streets full-time. It is unacceptable that 21st century children are still at risk on the streets. Carf Brazil, was established by Gregory J. Smith in São Paulo in 1993, to benefit the street children of Brazil by defending their rights and offering them a dignified solution so that they could live and grow within a family-oriented context and healthy social environment. As Grerory quotes, Albert Einstein said: The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.
