I remember watching my father use this typewriter when I was a kid and marvelling at it as it banged and dinged away. It’s a beautiful masterpiece of craftsmanship and history. Anatomy of the AT-AT / Since the Dark Side started using genetically modified walkers, they found many had to visit the Imperial Veterinary Clinic of Osteology suffering with acute pain in their hip joints. X-rays revealed their skeleton structure was just not strong enough to manoeuvre wearing those heavy boots. No amount of Cod Liver oil would ease their pain. The typewriter is my mom’s old ‘Imperial Good Companion’, which dates from the late 60’s / early70’s – they stopped production at the factory in 1974. Taken with lensbaby 3G and both +4 and +10 macro adapters. The only processing is the mono conversion. Featured in the Weekend Photographer and Extreme Close Ups groups, November 2009.
