  • Artwork made for a mock Tool poster with the Tool band logo and sponsor logos removed, inspired by their Jan 24 07 gig in Sydney and then again the next day at Big Day Out. Medium: Indian ink and Photoshop CS2.

  • Urban scrawl on an East London wall

  • Graffiti on a street corner in Shoreditch, East London

  • This stone art wall offers many images. The earth tones with a nuance of red on the center “face” adds to the golden textured graphics. Besides the image of a face or mask in the center, do you see a galloping horse on the far left? I often look for rocks or multi-dimensional stone wall compositions as they present a very interesting canvas for abstract images and a mind field for the imagination. / Please view in the large format.

  • The rings around the trunk of a palm tree. / ( photo impact ) / Click here to see all of my abstract images.

  • This is not Marge Simpson with red hair. My / bark art lady is much prettier! / Using my Macro Lens, I shot this image of part of a tree to include in my bark art series. It is a delightful surprise to uncover / the images under the peelings of tree bark. / The imagery in this piece is bold and brightly colored with great texture to accentuate the / form of the image. The process of transforming the bark of trees into abstract images from nature is a fascinating process. This shot was taken / in a botanical garden in Los Angeles. Please view this in the large format. Nikon DSRL D80 / Macro Lens

  • This is another collaboration with Kevin Kroeker, as he can add another dimension and bring out those bright colours. / I took this shot on my last visit to King Island. / This renovated old boat house is now a coffee stop / gallery / come relaxation venue, and offers some incredible views of Currie Harbour.

  • I have several photographs of tree graffiti or what I have labeled contemporary hieroglyphics that were often seen in caves. I choose trees that have an array of diverse imagery and symbols so viewers can project their unique perception of what they see in this collective art form. This is one in a series of many that i have photographed of graffiti trees and I am always interested in your perceptions of these inscriptions. Several characters can appear in one glyph that is a visual presentation on various surfaces like walls, stone, and trees where people inscribe symbolic, written and visual content to brand, illustrate, entertain or inform.

  • This textured and multi-layered abstract using bark is a good piece to project what you see in this vividly colored photograph. I often suggest images, but I thought this piece lended itself to your creative imagination and projections that like a Rorschach can elicit unconscious material. Like the 10 inkblots on a Rorschach, if you project images on 10 pieces, I can offer you feedback. A brief description of my experience using the Rorschach as a projective test is included in my biography. It also helps to tell a story about what you see. This piece shows best when viewed in the larger format. /

  • Miao minority jewelry

  • Here is another example of nature’s beauty in this plant abstract. Although / it is a photograph, it looks like a painting with vibrant colors and a myriad of imagery and texture. What do you see in this multi-faceted image? Please view this in the larger format. Sally Omar has paired a poem with this photograph, Let Us Not Forget, a powerful statement about 911. You can view it in her portfolio.

  • It is fascinating how photographs of the bark of trees transform into realistic scenes. This reminds me of a village with a cobblestone path and an Indian woman on the right possibly selling her wares. Two men are walking down the path dressed in blue. There are also otherworldly creatures like the big heads on the upper right and left. Is she wearing red glasses?? Abstract landscapes allow the viewer to project whatever he she sees. What do you perceive in this montage of images? Every time you look at this painterly photograph, she will see something else. There are infinite images to explore. The imagery in my “Rorschachs” are best viewed in the large format.

  • Recently I went to a hen party. The hen was very up to dressing up etc the British way, but the other girls (including me) were very reluctant to any ridiculous outfit behaviour etc.. So we got her a cowgirl outfit and the rest of us dressed normally. However, I tried to capture the imagery of British hen parties all night, so that the hen gets the souvenir that everything was like one of these extreme British hen parties. Sigh.. I know, how the camera can lie sometimes. But I took it as an interesting exercise…

  • The imagery in this rock art abstract is rich in detail, color, / texture and imagery. Please view this in the large format / to appreciate the intricate detail. This is a great piece / for you to project what you perceive. Remember the / more you look, the more you will see. When I return / to an abstract, the beauty of non representational / art is that everytime you view the piece, you will / see another image. I find the process of / abstract “Rorschachs” fascinating in clinical practice / and art. The crimson and blues are often used in / Asian paintings. My first perception was a dog with orange ears / and brown eyes. What do you think is a good title for this piece?

  • Photo art. Gomera from the planet Moolaba, approximately 1457000 light years from earth in the Nebzian Galaxy.

  • Out for a stroll in the countryside one late summer afternoon a couple of years ago this view over the next hill filled me with hope. Many months later I was contacted by a youth support group in Austria if they could use it in their campaign to encourage possible young drug-addicts to visit their refuge. It is now their marketing image on handouts and visiting cards. My hope it is that it may help guide some lost souls back onto the Road of Hope. Location: Upper Bavaria, Germany. / Nikon D200, Sigma 18-200mm. Available in my Calendar Cloud Illusions: /

  • This fractal reminded on the Cross. I hope the allusion is clear. / Created in Apophysis, postprocessed in PhotoImpact. The Tree of Love The tree of love its roots hath spread / Deep in my heart, and rears its head; / Rich are its fruits: they joy dispense; / Transport the heart, and ravish sense. / In love’s sweet swoon to thee I cleave, / Bless’d source of love . . . , St. Francis of Asissi 1182-1226

  • I don’t usually do full-on photomanipulation pieces, but this one has evolved from previous photos and the impressions they evoke for me. The idea is that this process media approach is something far enough away from a photo that I might find on it’s own, there is no mistake between dream and reality … layers are derived from my own photos, and I vectored the ballerina sihouettes from online stock imagery this artwork has been featured in, NO! NO! NOT THE COMFY CHAIR!!! / the story develops /

  • The best place to go for all your internet needs.
