I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. The countryside around here is a wash of gold and green at the moment! It just goes on forever in every direction. I love it! Its almost ready for harvest…you can hear the stems creaking and cracking as you walk through it. This was taken over the road from Gartree Prison!

Just could not believe the enormity of this cloud. It really was lit up like this and it did turn the water this colour. The long exposure flattened out the water as it does and reflected every colour the sky made like a frosted mirror. Truly gorgeous to me it was….....if it wasnt for the long exposure the colours in the water would have been lost….....
