Solitary bench on hill, framed by the setting sun.
There is a great walk you can do between two of Sydneys most famous beaches. The Bondi to Bronte walk follows a magnificent coastal path taking in breathtaking views of the ocean below as well as Bronte and Bondi Beach. We added this conservatory to our home four years ago and what a gift it has been! Rain or shine, we can so fully appreciate the beauty God has given us in the surrounding cathedral of towering fir trees, and, in the warmer months, the radiant colors of the garden flowers. Below are the paintings and photos on my new 2010 Redbubble Calendar: /

Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200

The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east. Levisham Estate, UK Levisham Estate is owned and managed by the North York Moors National Park Authority. Almost the entire area has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and therefore provides a huge resource of wildlife and a wide range of habitats.
Influence of nature. Graceful curves. The wispy lines resambles branches and leaf motif on this piece. Enjoy it!
