  • I live in Australia and when I designed this piece the colours of the Australian summer and landscape came out in my use of the palette. I designed it in late 2005 at NSW TAFE, but I changed it today and added a few extra details. Is art ever really finished ? Each time you look at your work you may see something you would like to add, or do in a another way.

  • 16”x24” Mixed Media (Airbrush and Ink) She looked through to her past, remembering, contemplating, holding it close to her. One day…she looked deeper…deeper still and she knew it was time to let it go. She released her past…and watched as it flew far away from her…to it’s own future…to it’s own place wild, open and free. Having let it go…she is now free, having looked through the past and on to the future. – By Carrie Glenn / Inspiration and background courtesy of Lord Michael Gatch Featured in Out of the Past / (Thanks Jerame and Michael) Featured in Surrealism / (Thanks Hop Helen and Marison ) Featured in All Things Poetic, Prose, Philosophical / (Thanks Susan) Featured in Northwest Artists / (Thanks EllieWinds) Featured in The Healing Journey / (Thanks Julie) You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

  • Another entry from my leather moleskin journal. This was a reflection on how we’ve all got so many untold stories. I don’t want to go to my grave without passing on my stories that are worth passing on especially if there’s a chance those stories could affect or help another in any positive way. The same goes for my whole family…. I don’t want them passing without me finding out their important untold stories. I still don’t know half as much as I’d like to know about my Grandfather’s prisoner of war days and he passed many a year ago. So that story is with my Dad now and once he’s gone the story will be too. Perhaps I’ll sit down with Dad soon and write it all down? And then there’s so many of my own personal stories that only I, myself know. One’s that Im’ just not ready to share with another yet… whether emotional, physical or spiritual I just can’t put them out there just yet. I am sure one day though I’ll probably be ready to share them. What untold stories do you have that you’d like to make sure get passed on before you die?
