  • this is a combination of photoshop brushes and a drawing i did on paper (with pencil) long long time ago.. Its been over 20years since i drew with pencil/paper, Hope to do again one day, when the kids have left home, and no one ‘steals/takes’ my art supplies.. :S

  • Original illustration, done in ink and then digitally colored and detailed.

  • A sunset behind the towered buildings of a city casts but shadows and variants of grey and whilst there is life every where, varied textures of greens are to found in the setting sun of the islands, it lifts the smell of flowers and the sound of a breeze though the trees! :)

  • My native stylistic rendition of a Polar Bear and her cubs using symbolic colours.

  • I love the quirky expressions that some animals can come up with. This guy was sitting on my clothesline one day so I just had to draw him. The original is coloured pencil and ink on board. I carved the background pattern out of lino myself, but credit must be given to Rhonna Farrer for the use of her stamps in the foreground.

  • Bunny is usually a term used to describe a rabbit or hare. The term is a diminutive of “bun”, a word of Scottish origin that in the 16th and 17th centuries was a pet name for rabbits, squirrels and sometimes young women or children. Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae. They are sometimes affectionately known as bunnies or bunny rabbits, especially by children. There are seven different genera in the family classified as rabbits, including the European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), cottontail rabbits (genus Sylvilagus; 13 species), and the Amami Rabbit (Pentalagus furnessi, an endangered species on Amami Oshima, Japan).Rabbits are clearly distinguished from the related hares in that rabbits are altricial, born blind and hairless; many also live underground in burrows or warrens. Indoor pet rabbit can live 6-12 years, they can even become good friends with cats and dogs.

  • Black and white landscape of a solitary tree on the banks of the Baltic Sea.

  • This 3D-illustration is made with Lightwave-3D, my favorite 3Dapp. The combination of this fun toy and the feeling of sliding out in a boat an early morning makes a great idea for a picture. / I have permission from Lego to show this artwork.

  • We men like to think of ourselves as pretty cool. like the earth revolves on an axis of us! – not likely! – hehe! But as i look into the communities every where, i see women more so then men, being the ties that bind families, communities. That indwelt spirit of solidarity and preservation for those abouts them, the resolve to sacrifice if need be in order for those around them to not go without! This is not a diss on men, we simply need to grow up, stop being selfish and step to the plate of life, then women wouldn’t be burdened with our short comings! Wahine – Hawaiian and Maori word for women or female, immovable Wahine! Immovable Wahines!

  • Full colors… inside and out / http://www.zazzle.com/andreacreations sp – digital collage with photo, drawings, sketches and illustrations manipulated with filters in photoshop cs2.

  • “everything is mostly vast amounts of space between itself my love…...” Gallo, you told me that… and everything came clear… so clear… and even more complex now…. and then, “fluid dynamics”, you said… among all the significant words on that message, those two words brought my childhood back and my obsession for the infinite micro/macro… and you brought light into it. / You are the greatest inspiration for my creations, but this one, derived from that dream, is more than inspiration, it is a deep communion and I dedicate it to you, my soul mate. / / / i am so honored to have been featured in the EMI Magazine! Mark, that was a rabbit punch! thank you and to the EMI great crew!!! / i am thrilled to have this piece featured in Abstract Realism. this one is deeply special to me. / thank you!

  • Sun and water

  • Hubris cannot defeat / time, and so / when all is said / and done / our monuments will fall / to dust. Process Freehand vector painting in Adobe Illustrator. / Textures, additional effects and colour adjustments in Adobe Photoshop. Texture shots – combination of own and royalty-free from CGTextures

  • I haven’t bothered to scan this one, a photo’s way easier and since nobody’s gonna buy it anyway I don’t care. Have you priced an A3 scanner lately? The original’s on 14”x10” smooth paper and I used a 0.5mm 2B and a 0.3mm HB automatic pencils. This has a mild bit of PS to bring out the colours that came from me having my finger over the flash and no retouching whatsoever. Its a pity the top left is illuminated a bit too much but I still don’t care. / Its a 10megapixel image. This is about different levels of consciousness. To begin with this is all inside the mind, all imaginary so we’re already at one level of metaphysics. My subconscious is mostly out of bounds to me. Its represented here by the landscape. I often go there in dreams or whatever but can rarely remember anything that happened when I come back. / My immediate conscious is where I can go anytime I want and while I’m in there I can comtemplate, plan ways to think and construct concepts and regularly create models of problems I need to solve out here in the real world, connect them up to the mains and see if they work, or find out the probability of them working. / I only barely notice this process visually in pictures at the back of my mind and there are no words that can accurately describe it. Not yet anyway. / In addition to constructing problem models myself the problem plumbing can grow by itself, most of the time caused by bullshit from this world out here. This is called a neurosis. Neuroses can go unnoticed if the person who owns the brain isn’t careful, often manifesting itself as making him think things that aren’t true and thinking regressively or negatively. And if the person is that way inclined, being a dick. / Here, one of these has burst through the ceiling of the room it was in into the next level of consciousness and has encroached into my subconscious. This in time can affect the next level again, the soul. / The concept I’m trying to illustrate would be something like seeing wires and circuit boards on your monitor instead of software / —-—-——- / 2 days later and I have thought of a better way to think of this, lets say the flora represents my emotion, my passion and creativity and the mechanical stuff is the problems of daily life, job, money etc. Simple. • I’m doing up some images for some big wall art and had a bit of fun with this design I uploaded about a month ago What I’d look like with the front of my head missing if the laws of physics were tweaked just a little Or a metaphysical view of the practice of making oneself very very small in order to go into the mind to listen and talk to all the little voices in there. As you can see I have constructed powerful monitoring equipment to hear even the smallest voices. / I started it before xmas. / You can see me there right in the middle atop a platform in the best acoustic spot. • 7” X 7” / Graphite on Paper / May Ann Licudine SOLD Please read my art blog: http://nnayam.blogspot.com/2009/09/its-time-to-sell-my-original-graphite.html

  • Fuck yeah Detail shots / / While I was working on this ‘handelbrot’ I was amazed at the amount of people who happened to breeze through the room who didn’t know what a fractal was, they were in the majority actually. If you are one of these people you should watch this which does a far better job of explaining them than I would. Add theyellowfury to your watchlist Copyright © 2009 Simon Deevy.
