Good evening bubblers I have been out all day, my friend took me to Blackpool and we spent the day there, she went off to the fruit machines as she can’t walk very well and I walked all along the beautiful sandy beaches, the tide was way out and after the morning mist ancd chill cleared it was a beautiful day. I took lots of photos of the piers and the beach , the families enjoying them selves and even the children having donkey rides, It was wonderful a truely British day at Blackpool photo time. I even got some wonderful close ups of some very obliging herring gulls, they sat on the railings and perched on the balls posing like mad for me, can ‘t wait to download when i get home. Plus I took some photos of the wonderful illuminations throught the car windscreen I hope they have come out ok, we shall see. I had to buy a battery charger as I brought plenty of batteries but forfot the charger, I also shoved a spare memory card in my bag and then discovered when I got here it was the full one so I had to also buy 2×2gb cards. Bloody expensive compared to buying them online, Still we still have some beautiful places and quaint English scenes to snap. We drove around a bit before Blackpool and took stock of some beautiful photo opportunities. Tomorrow we are going to the forest and then on to a canel, so lots more to get. I feel guilty for enjoyine it especially as my daughter phoned me from her Dad’s to say she’s bored and he’s not taken her anywhere or spent time with her. I think I need to have words with him tomorrow, but thats another story. We have been home since about 8-00pm, first thing I did was kick off my new shoes.wow such releif LOL. I must have walked my socks off today hehehehe!!! / Anyway am feeling a little tired so i’m gonna relaxe for a while and then come back and look at some more bubblers work. Nite all bubblers. :))

Several weeks ago, I have entered five photographs into a photo contest “People” of the Czech photography magazine PhotoLife . Last week, I have got a print of PhotoLife #64 (April/May 2008), and found that my photograph Illuminated is one of 49 published entries! Except of that, With love… was stamped as Chosen, which means it was also one of the finalists chosen for publication, only did not fit into the page layout (considering harmony of all photographs to be published at one page…) as desired by the publisher. Considering it was my very first contest entry since I have started to take photography really seriously, I’m happy :)

Just got back from a trip to Melbourne to find I’ve sold 22 cards. A big thank you. What a wonderful start to the week. After several features in my groups and National magazines it’s safe to say my confidence is high. How important is confidence and self-belief? “Your most important sale is to sell yourself to yourself” – very true. Have a great week everyone. Regards Paul

THE PLANK / JOURNAL ENTRY 14 / 21 DECEMBER 2009. Winter Solstice. Plankette received at Universal Association of Plankers (UAP) New York / at 10.30am Eastern Time. ‘TO WALK THE DARK PLANK’ From: ‘She who has light for hair’, High Priestess of The Temple of Illumination. My dear fellow Plank-Walkers. May the light collected through this passed half year come to dwell in your hearts, as we face the longest night this Solstice ‘een, perhaps my dear friends for some it will be the longest and darkest. But though as the day dies before it has truly awoken, may it be as a metaphor for our lives; for behind the plank the great ship has not sailed on dear ones, without teaching us so much. Don’t look back along the quaking plank, look forward for the great ocean of life is in front. It is where you will find your own ship upon which you will welcome others who also swim, attracted by your illumination across the boundless sea. The light is not gone dear ones, it does not fade, the hands of the clock are not heralds of the End. The light never truly dies, it is within you and guides you. Let it show you the way and grow in you from each day forth beyond this eve. You may trust that it will surely grow within you, if you set it free and nourish it. So let in the light of the new and unique tomorrow, for we are in truth all children, whatsoever our seeming worldly age, and as children we are seeking illumination. Dear fellow Plankers, then let us all glow together in the light of everlasting love, free and untrammeled by fear of the coming longest night. / Onward through the dark, dear ones, sleep this night in peace, dream confident that tomorrow you shall wake to a dawn within each and every one of you!
