  • Fatal Error Darlink
    by Shanina Conway

    US$4.48–US$102.60

Computers are pretty much part of our lives now but I remember the horror of the first Win 95 window pop up and seeing FATAL ERROR. ...I totally freaked and was ready to take the computer back to the department store for a refund…before a friend gently and laughingly explained what was going on…....but I never got over that “in your face” feeling of Fatal Error and Fatal Exception. / ..I mean why Fatal ….., that’s so fatal, why not some cute character like me popping up saying, “Don’t Stress Darlink, but we have to close for a bit” And what about “Illegal Operation”...I swear the first time it happened I thought the stormtroopers were going to break down the front door! I really think Bill and his team could have put a little more thought into the trauma windows 95 could cause before inflicting it on the public. / Available as a card, print and poster. / Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited /

We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the world – no longer a Government of free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men. You got the most amazing photograph of that Orca jumping out of the water at Sea World. You upload it to RedBubble and everyone loves it. You sold a framed print and 25 cards. And then you get a summons in the mail. You have been sued for selling the photograph that you hold the copyright to. The above story is fictional (as far as I know), but not beyond the realm of possibility. More frequently large corporations are attempting to prevent photographers from earning a living by selling their images. Below is a list of organizations which protest photographers and artists selling images of their structures, products, and symbols. If you have any of these in your portfolio, be prepared to stand up for your rights as a photographer. • Areios Pagos Anatolikis Ellados: flag of the Areopagus of Eastern Continental Greece (1821-1825), with symbols of faith, charity (love), and hope (First Epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 13). A rebrand of a symbol that is within the public domain here Cannabis, also known as marijuana or marihuana, or ganja (from Hindi/Sanskrit: गांजा gañjā, hemp), is a psychoactive drug extracted from the plant Cannabis sativa, or more often, Cannabis sativa subsp. indica. The herbal form of the drug consists of dried mature flowers and subtending leaves of pistillate (female) plants. The resinous form, known as hashish, consists primarily of glandular trichomes collected from the same plant material. The major biologically active chemical compound in cannabis is Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), commonly referred to as THC. Humans have been consuming cannabis since prehistory, although in the 20th century there was a rise in its use for recreational, religious or spiritual, and medicinal purposes. It is estimated that about four percent of the world’s adult population (162 million) use cannabis annually and 0.6 percent (22.5 million) daily. The possession, use, or sale of psychoactive cannabis products became illegal in most parts of the world in the early 20th century. Since then, some countries have intensified the enforcement of cannabis prohibition while others have reduced the priority of enforcement. TO TAKE THE PISS / To take the piss is a British slang expression meaning to mock, tease, ridicule or scoff. Take the mickey (or variations) are euphemistic ways of conveying this expression where the word “piss” may be vulgar. / The term sometimes refers to a form of mockery or a piss take in which the mocker exaggerates the other person’s characteristics; pretending to take on his or her attitudes, etc., in order to make them look funny. / The phrase is in common usage throughout English society, employed by headline writers in broadsheet gazettes and tabloids as well as colloquially and is also used in English speaking countries such as Australia. In colloquial usage, ‘taking the piss’ is also used to refer to someone or something that makes a claim which is not in line with a recognised agreement e.g. an invoice that is double the quoted price with no explanation for the added charge could be said to ‘take the piss’, or likewise if something consistently misses a deadline ACRYLIC ART CALENDARS CARDS POETRY PHOTOGRAPHY – ANIMALS PHOTOGRAPHY -CANDID SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY – CATS AND DOGS PHOTOGRAPHY – CONTEMPORARY WORK PHOTOGRAPHY – FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY – INSECTS PHOTOGRAPHY – TRADITIONALLY TURKISH PHOTOGRAPHY – TREE AND TREE PARTS T-SHİRTS My Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. • DARK ANGEL
    by Dayonda

    US$3.99–US$68.40

+This poor woman threw her life away in hell, taking her child with her. / She’s addicted, broke, and paranoid. She fought on the Good side in the War in Heaven, but spoiled her beauty and her spirit by deliberately plunging into the hell of illegal drugs and activities years ago. This is what the black stands for in the picture. / The fact that she’s come back to Earth (in a way of speaking) is a great sign of intended recovery. Ahhh, if only intent were all that is needed. _THE SECOND EPISTLE OF PAUL THE APOSTLE TO TIMOTHY _ / CHAPTER 2 / 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. / 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. / 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. / What this says to me is that we will have plenty of hardships to endure as soldiers of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who has chosen each of us to be a soldier for Him. If we stand our ground and hold on for Christ and yet not be crowned or rewarded in the afterlife, it will be because we got tangled up in the sins of this life, as in Verse 4, and did not reach out to Christ and whatever hands He has put in our way to help us get out of the mess we got ourselves into. We have the laws of our countries to obey and the laws and Covenants of Jesus Christ. / We know what “illegal operations” in our computers are, and what they do. / So also “illegal operations” in our lives can cause such a massive Crash that we can only reach for Christ to bring us back. I used APOPHYSIS to make the fractal, and then colored it in / PHOTO FILTRE. / Lighting was applied from LIGHT ARTIST.

  • Inspired by all the problems photographers and the general public has experienced since 9-11. I have been told so many times I can’t take pictures of things like buildings even when standing on a public sidewalk. That is wrong, it’s a public sidewalk and I have the right to take a pictures. Downtown Los Angeles is terrible about this. Wear it with pride.

  • Elephant.
    by tonyanicole

    US$3.99–US$91.20

There was an indie film a few years back that came out after Columbine. It followed these kids around through their everyday school lives- literally there would be 5, 10 solid minutes of the kid walking down the hall, etc. In the end the school is broken out in chaos when two boys bring guns to school and start shooting students and teachers. It’s very eye-opening. / The movie was called “Elephant.” / My business teacher was on the subject of Columbine one day and refered to the boys who shot the place up as “crazy.” This pissed me off. Because It just gives more evidence to the fact that no one pays any attention to how fucked up higschool is. How fucked up life is. / The film has the very same message as my painting. There are pieces of wallpaper clippings to portray the “room” of which the elephant roams. / This goes hand in hand with my writing “Ode to My Nazi-fuck Highschool”. • UPDATED BELOW. PLEASE READ. This rabbit was slightly injured and had one ear that would/couldn’t be raised like the other one. That probably accounted for the very shy nature because it couldn’t hear well in multiple directions simultaneously for protection. But it didn’t run off either so I did some quick shots of him and his oddly shaped face. Maybe it’s old and has jowls like old men. Maybe his parents were brother and sister. Or maybe he’s a rare breed of expensive hopper. One thing’s for sure tho: he’s abandoned in a neighbourhood park along with up to hundreds more rabbits. Crosswoods Park is the illegal and unethical “dumping ground” for Easter Bunnies ‘off the bloom’ faster than lilies, pets that chewed every wire in the house, and animals that are injured or sick. But the side effect of so many former pets out free is that they will often approach people and some will even let you pet them. I’ve feed a few by hand and it’s a heartwarming experience with a wild animal. :-) All proceeds from the sales of this image in any format here on Red Bubble are being donated to Voices For Animals’ hosts and members to donate to the charity of their choice. Please make a purchase or send other animal lovers to this image for them to consider purchasing. Thank you very much!

  • Forbidden Fruit
    by taiche

    US$23.94

The term “forbidden fruit” is a metaphor that describes any object of desire whose appeal is a direct result of the knowledge that it cannot or should not be obtained or something that someone may want but cannot have. The phrase refers to the Book of Genesis, where it is the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil eaten by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. As a result of their decision to eat the fruit, Adam and Eve lost their innocence , became separated from God and were exiled from the garden where they were forced to adopt agriculture under less than desirable circumstances for a living. The term most generally refers to any indulgence or pleasure that is considered illegal or immoral and potentially dangerous or harmful, particularly relating to human sexuality.
