Tathra Beach Sunrise
I have used the Orton effect on this photo.
Camping a couple of nights at this beautiful spot was almost surreal…surrounded by tropical rainforest and the calcium rich waters from flowing through limestone country made it look even more idyllic – seclusion,isolation..add some fantastic company and a natural heaven is there.. as always – thanks for viewing and yes these are/were the actual colours of the original transperancy. / / EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2007 / view this image large bubblesite / photography blog / portfolio ©T.Middleton2009 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——

Shot in Boston on Newbury Street – if you live in the area, you can see the housenumber and go down and check it out for yourself… Though the dog probably won’t be there ; ) Hope you like it : )

Photographic based digital montage – Feb, 2008. Created over several hrs 2 nights this week (suffering from concussion) from an accidental fall over the wk’end. Photoshop montage combining digital shots of jewels, samples of vintage wallpaper and added drawn elements. Fifty layers retouched, blended, filtered, colour & tonal curve adjusted. Considering using the design as a furniture (upholstering) velvety fabric for a small round bedroom foot stool.

I was on my way to Abbeycymhir in Mid Wales ready for a 6 mile hike, when I noticed this old farmhouse up for sale … I just had to stop and explore …. it was empty and slightly derelict but so full of potential ….... / There are 5 images here, all melted together in Photoshop …....

Acrylic on canvas. / Mixed media. / Found photos. / Altered Art I have a collection of affordable found objects from Antique stores. Some folks call what I do as Antiquing, I tend to call it Junking, because the stuff I acquire is really just someone else’s junk like garage sale finds and second hand store castoffs. If you can only afford what some folks call junk, sometimes you can really find treasures. The moment I found these idyllic photos, I remembered Henry David Thoreau’s, “Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in.” I goofed when I did the lettering on this project because I used the word “a” instead of the word “the” which my edition of WALDEN uses. So apologies go to the linguists of our wonderful Redbubble site. Perhaps at one time Henry used “a” in his working of his masterpiece. It was foggy Sunday morning. I would usually stay in bed, but it was so foggy that I couldnt pass up the chance to get some shots. I raced in my car to a cemetary near by but the gates were locked so I had to go to a nearby park and make do. It was taken with my Nikon D70, processed in photoshop with very liitle being done apart from being converted to black and white and then a ward filter added. Oh and I went back to the cemetary when it opened and got this….... / http://www.redbubble.com/people/theymademedoit/art/1774916-3-arnos-vale

another infrared image from the vaults that has been gently coloured to give it the emotional tone it needs. I shot this image and the ones that follow in the days after my father died. They were all taken while I wandered along the river Torrens in Adelaide near where he lived. This particular stretch of the river is particularly beautiful and was a place he loved to go walking with his cameras. So then this image is about memory and loss and also about redemption through beauty. / . /
3200 ISO is a brave new world for me. As a self confessed low ISO junkie, one who used Ektar 25 film whenever and wherever he could for many years because I wanted tight grain, the tighter the better, I would pull out all the stops I could to use that amazing ISO 25 film! For sure I’d never gone above ISO 1000 and then only to shoot indoor sporting events. Low ISO was(?) a hang-up for me! But I wanted to try astral photography and high ISO can get you there! However as we all know high ISO leads to increased noise which is something fairly new to me. You can use software and Photoshop plugins but I’ve been considering, one way to control noise would be to minimize or eliminate it by keeping the ISO as low as possible and that’s one way I‘m leaning. So in that regard it looks like a fast 50 prime is in order! It’s fun to be experimenting and learning, eh! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 30 / Av( Aperture Value ) 3.5 / ISO Speed 3200 / Focal Length 18.0mm / Flash at 1/16 power and about 12 or 13 paper towels for diffusion. “One Night Under the Milky Way” was shot at Flamber Head on Newfoundland’s East Coast Trail For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr
