© copyright 2006 All Rights Reserved / You may not use, replicate, manipulate, redistribute, or modify this image without my express consent. Taken in December after the first snow of the season. I use to live here, I mean right at end of lake, Still live close to it, and I just love it. This was my favorite view. We had to drive fifty miles to the nearest grocery store! I LOVED IT!!! / I used my Canon Rebel XLT, Regular lens for this shot. I used an ISO of 100. Taken as is. / When I joined RedBubble this was the first print I SOLD. It sold as a laminated print. I will always be grateful to the buyer, for it has given me encouragement to continue doing what I love. / This reservoir is located in Idaho above Mountain Home, off of Hwy 20. It is as deep as 200 feet. Anglers catch Rainbow Trout, Koekanee, Cut Throat Trout, Brown Trout, White Bass, and Crappie. / At the very end of this shot is where we lived, and this is one of my most favorite places.

TAKEN AS IS. This road is created by a machine called the Groomer. This road is created for snowmobiles to travel on, and not just for recreation. This particular road has to be kept up in the winter, it connects Pine, Idaho to Fall Creek, Idaho. There are many towns, and there are many in winter you can only reach by snowmobile. Idaho has over 7000 miles in the state of groomed snow roads. I love traveling these roads in the winter, especially to the towns hard to reach.
taken at a creek running down the mountain, I used My Canon / Rebel XT. I put a 16×24 print in an auction to sale it. It sold for over $200.00. Most of the shots I took this day are some of my favs. We were out hunting, I was actually hunting good shots. lol.
I think evergreens after a snowstorm are so awesome. The picture is always beautiful.

Coeur d’Alene Lake is a very large lake, one that you do not want to get stuck on when a storm is coming. My father and I were fishing on this wonderful lake in Northern Idaho when an unexpected storm rolled over the top of us as we were crossing the middle of the lake. In a matter of minutes it changed from a clear blue sky to a pitch black storm showering us with rain and lightning. Swells nearly knocking over the small fishing boat. Luckily we able to cross the lake and get to a private little boat dock. The waves were nearly throwing the boat on top of the dock. After getting the boat tied up we had the pleasure of standing in the rain for the next 20 minutes without anything to shelter us from the beating rain. And the best part, when we got back to camp I saw that I had left my tent open…. ........ / All images are © Nolan Nitschke. You may not use this image in any way without written consent from artist. Taken at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, although the sun was not where it seems to be, this really was an illusion. I had to get out and catch this shot. I love this lake and this place. When we lived here my camera was with me at all times, even when I went down for groceries, you never knew what you might see on the way down or back up. I love it here and it will always be home for me in my heart. Exposure time 1/160 sec., / F-Stop F/4.0, Aperture Value F/2.0, ISO 64.0. Canon EOS, Rebel XT, Lens 18-55 mm.
I believe that the flowers in this picture are called Sawooth Sunflowers but im not sure. Ive had trouble identifying them. The Lake is up about 10,000 ft and is the largest lake in the Sawtooths Wilderness. / ........ / All images are © Nolan Nitschke. The Snake River and Hells Canyon. The Snake River actually serves at the state line between Idaho and Oregon. So technically the cliffs on the left are considered part of Oregon. Hells Canyon is also the deepest gorge in North America. All images are © Nolan Nitschke. You may not use this image in any way without written consent from artist. All Rights Reserved.

One of my favorite types of horse, a pinto, captured in North Idaho. Shot this with my Kodak Easy Share camera, brought it into Photoshop, added a layer and desaturated it, then went in with a soft eraser tool and revealed just the subject I wanted colored. Merged all layers. Also clone stamped out some telephone wires that bugged me. This is a shot of Anderson Ranch Reservoir taken this year in early Feb. At the end of the shot is Steel Mountain and sky. The sky is always different, but in this shot kind of plain. I added a new sky, making this a composite landscape. I used my Canon EOS, Rebel XT to take the shot. Shutter Speed 1/1000, F-stop and aperture value F/11, and Focal Length 49 mm.
