A different prespective on fall color through a Nikon 10.5mm fisheye. /
A very unique place. Over 60 acres of strictly tamarack trees. Tamaracks do not have leaves, they have needles. They are unusual because they loose their needles in the fall and then grow new ones in the spring. In the fall tamaracks turn a beautiful shade of gold. Shot with a Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye lens. / Located in Central Idaho. Enjoy!
An old road sign riddled with bullet holes, apparently used for target practice, leans slightly off the highway near Balancing Rock in southern Idaho. This tourist stop has been heavily vandalized because of its secluded location and lack of state funding. Southern Idaho October 2007
Nothing I love more than a good thunderstorm.
Another fisheye tamarack post. / If the first one made you dizzy I am curious how this one makes you feel. / Let me know what you think. :) /

Taken at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, although the sun was not where it seems to be, this really was an illusion. I had to get out and catch this shot. I love this lake and this place. When we lived here my camera was with me at all times, even when I went down for groceries, you never knew what you might see on the way down or back up. I love it here and it will always be home for me in my heart. Exposure time 1/160 sec., / F-Stop F/4.0, Aperture Value F/2.0, ISO 64.0. Canon EOS, Rebel XT, Lens 18-55 mm.

Hawks are widely reputed to have visual acuity several times that of a normal human being. This is due to the many photoreceptors in the retina (up to 1,000,000 per square mm for Buteo, against 200,000 for humans), an exceptional number of nerves connecting these receptors to the brain, and an indented fovea, which magnifies the central portion of the visual field.
