  • ©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. 12/21/07. A Compullage™ work. The Madonna looks down on us from above. Does she look with pity or pride? Only time will tell as we hurry toward oblivion and beyond. Thanks for looking Set

  • A beautiful rural winter scene in Canada.

  • An image from 2006 uploaded for possible inclusion in my gallery.

  • Airport Munich, Germany – late December / White frost, fog and damp cold created this eerie winter landscape. The scenery looks and feels as if it would be on another planet, or a scene from a sci-fi movie, well rounded by the hint of red in the sky. Set of Two / November /

  • Ice on leaves

  • Hiking in the Highlands allows you to see many parts of Scotland others do not see. There is no tresspass law in Scotland but you are expected to respect the land you walk through. Another old stone bridge on a less travelled trail.

  • Taken with a Canon PowerShot S3 IS, 6 megapixels. I took this picture in the parking of a pharmacy in Saint-Constant, Quebec. The sunset was so beautiful, I took pictures during 30 minutes. Straight out of the camera – AS IS

  • Large View Recommended. Bowring Park, St John’s. Canon Rebel XSi / ISO 100 / 8 sec / f/5 / bloody freezing metal el-cheapo tripod / numb fingers / Processed in Lightroom.

  • Looking West across the River Trent to the Cottham Power Station as the first precious rays of golden Winter sun break the horizon. Under such a vast, clear and crisp sky even a concrete blot of that magnitute seemed somehow beautiful…

  • Torksey Castle is a wonderful old Tudor ruin. Dating from the 16th century it was the manor house of the Jermyn family. Little is now left except the grand facade, with it’s lofty towers, and aspect over the River Trent. There are very few alternate angles that look quite as good, so it was a case of taking the ‘classic’ view and trying to do it better! Luckily for me, the very heavy frost and low raking sunrise enhanced an already magical location.

  • I discovered this fascinating work of art by Mother Nature on an icy winter day on the banks of Lake Kochel in the south of Bavaria, not far from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. These frozen icicles seemed to have been formed by the movement of the water on the lake. They hung in rows from reeds or sticks. There were more around the bank hanging like a curtain. Location: Kochel am See, Upper Bavaria, Germany. 47° 39’ 39.58” N 11° 21’ 26.24” E Nikon D70, f/18m -0.3, 1/25s, 50 mm ISO 200. Sigma 18-200mm. Featured in Beach, Lakes and River Treasures

  • Bare branches on a background of icy blue reflections -with some PS work to tidy it up

  • Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 0.6 seconds, ISO100, processed in Photoshop A few weeks ago I visited Derwent water in the Lake District. The stillness and reflections from Derwent water were amazing, the mist on the water was just starting to clear on the icy cold morning, I think my early morning start was worth it!!
