  • this shot was also taken the last day of the year in 2007, something about how the frost partially covered the pasture, and the fog lifting off the trees, and the mountains peaking thru as the fog lifted, just awed me, the colors were all pastel like

  • Homeward
    by crackgerbal

    US$3.50–US$37.90

This image was taken on our way to Klamath Falls last year. I love the snow on this route, but the road was fairly dangerous. This is highway 66 in Oregon. It isn’t up to current traffic design standards, so you are looking at a drop off the edge of the road…into a large and steep valley.

  • Snowhog's snowman
    by Christopher Ewing

    US$4.48–US$102.60

Shooting in Cades Cove with Mike back in Feb of 2009 / I had been jealous of Snowhog’s snow she had been getting all year ( wouldnt surprize me if she is Still getting snow! grrrr) while it was passing my area, and we might get alittle to tease us. But while Mike and I were out shooting in the cove, grabbing all we could of the snow while it was here. I had promised Snowhog a snowman IF I ever got the chance to make one. So while Mike is shooting, I start grabbing some snow together, finding little pebbles that would Stay to create the face, and a few twigs that were sturdy enough to create the arms (had to keep it authentic to the area ya know). Hands frozen since the type of snow we had, stuck to my gloves. At one time I had more snow on my gloves then I did for the snowman. So here ya go snowhog, your snowman from the Great Smoky Mountains (literally) :)

  • Frozen Wilderness
    by Wayne Holman

    US$4.32–US$98.80

These strange swirls may look like paint lines or marks on plaster board or something, but they are actually frozen rivers and streams. I took this shot from around 40,000 ft in an airliner over Northern Europe. The sun was setting low on the horizon hence the subtle change in colour over the landscape. See my video on YouTube
