another shot , shot on the last day of the year of 2007 / there wasnt that much snow in the cove, just enough to dust things and temps were cold enough to keep it there for alittle while, something about this field with the grass just tipped with snow and frost, the fog all around just awed me

Enjoy!

this was another shot in cades cove in the great smoky mountains, for the last day of the year in 2007, something about how everything was turning white, and the fog lifting off the ground as the sun starts shining on it, just moved me, love those scenes that just make you go..ohhh yeahh, and then try to capture it on camera
-
shot this the other day, having the privledge of hanging out with anthony pierce in the smoky mountains. the temps were cold enough to keep the ice around. when i saw these three rocks surrounded by alittle snow and ice, they reminded me of islands (hey if you were an ant, it would be an island)

-
this shot was also taken the last day of the year in 2007, something about how the frost partially covered the pasture, and the fog lifting off the trees, and the mountains peaking thru as the fog lifted, just awed me, the colors were all pastel like
-

These strange swirls may look like paint lines or marks on plaster board or something, but they are actually frozen rivers and streams. I took this shot from around 40,000 ft in an airliner over Northern Europe. The sun was setting low on the horizon hence the subtle change in colour over the landscape. /

this water is only not frozen because it’s moving, it’s painful to touch. However this is hope for the warm summer to come as this is what becomes of the once icey landscape.
