I took this picture on the steepest island of the world…La Palma (canarian islands). Although it’s the steepest island of the world it’s very rare that it’s snowy on top of the biggest vulcanic mountain. / It was a lucky week so I drove all the way up to the “Roche De Los Muchachos”>>> / (3000 metres high). Shortly before I reached the top a little cave caught my attention. / I went inside and discovered beautiful, thick icicles. The energy there was incredible….it felt pure….above the clouds…elements. check what the product looks like here thank you for stopping by!

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

So close,so far… / It felt like eternity… / I walked …and walked / lost in a paradise of ice Hopelessly crying, hoping / to be delivered from that immensity. / I reached the top of that icy pic / and saw a small refuge. For an euphoric instant / I saw His Face in the clouds / The Keeper of my souvenirs / I knew ,then / The reason of my wanderring… Gigi / / My first poem in english and first experience for me.This situation happened to me two days ago,I’ve got lost in the woods for 3 hours, walking and walking, desperate to find a saving light. It was so dark, even Tchoko was worried, chasing imaginary animals….then I saw thousands of stars all arround me,it was fireflies….it was like being part of the universe…nothing else but fireflies…then I realised I was out of the woods.I met 6 persons and asked for help, one of them let me do a phone call but Michel was working late and wasn’t there.I have to say that I hated humanbeings that night and I cried of rage instead of fear.I finaly saw a police car on the road and went back to where I was parked. It was midnight.Tchoko and I slept the day after, tired but happy to be home. / ...A true story ..thanks for reading…x / / PS. I wanted to do the sunset on the top of a mountain, the same place I took «Together at last»but I forgot the time shooting mushrooms…. :)))..it’s all me. / / A macro shot of snow that fell down the roof last winter.I hope I’m not the only one who sees a part of a face in the clouds… :))...better view larger.

another shot , shot on the last day of the year of 2007 / there wasnt that much snow in the cove, just enough to dust things and temps were cold enough to keep it there for alittle while, something about this field with the grass just tipped with snow and frost, the fog all around just awed me

A morbid history of St. John’s… the hill in the background is known as Gibbets Hil, it is where all the criminals were hung in public executions. The body of water at the base of the hill is where the executioner would throw the bodies when they were dead. The pond is known as “Dead Man’s Pond”. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

Fishermen at the Silvrettasee (Silvretta Lake), Silvretta, Austrian Alps. / After a day-long hiking through the Silvretta mountains, I was deeply impressed by the peaceful mood and green-grey beauty of the Silvretta Lake. Ice-cold waters rushing from the glaciers of Piz Buin and its neighbours created an amazing abstract form of the lake shore.

Mauna Kea, 14000 ft up, after three nights of snow. By the way, this was taken out the window of a moving car. I wasn’t driving, I promise!!! Snow means plenty of light: ISO 400, f/16, 1/2500 sec! See other works from this expedition: Altitude Summit

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. This is why I’d like to do my part to keep nature this way! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada
