  • Morning rainbow, Jokulsarlon, Iceland Iceland / Belgium / Italy / France / Hungary / Spain / Sri Lanka / USA / London / Portraits / Other Jokulsarlon is a glacial lake that meets the sea in Iceland. One of the most beautiful places i have been on our little planet Earth. The tragedy is that this beautiful photo would not be possible without global warming. When in a cafe at a petrol station i saw a postcard of Jokulsarlon. One single large iceberg floating in the centre. As you can see now the lake is full. Note: The size if this work was increased using Photoshop CS2. / Best size being around the 50cm wide.

  • This photo is a personal favourite.. The ice-cave sof Antarctica are amazingly beautiful and alluring, yet incredibly dangerous. They shimmer with frigid, crystalline magic, daring you to sail on in to admire the interior decoration, yet the ice crystals could so easily become incisors in the jaws of destruction..

  • A major early snow storm blanketed the Cascade Mountains. A small lake nearly froze over by winter cold offers a bit of a reflection as Mt. Rainier looms in the background capped by a lenticular cloud cap. A pristine view one can linger on if you can stand the cold.

  • A bitterly cold morning on the surface of Mud lake. The rising sun offered little warmth but it did outline the frost on the cat tails and reeds.

  • Photo of a large iceberg taken in the Antarctic Peninsula on a dull and overcast morning. 100% of proceeds received from Redbubble in respect to sales of this item, will be donated to Bush Heritage Australia

  • One must suffer for your art correct? Well this might fit, I headed out this cold December dawn a year ago with temps at -5 and windchill at -30. A bit chilly and I learned that if you take a glove and grab a metal tripod leg your hand will stick at least for a few moments. I hope the image was worth it! The frozen surface of Mud Lake just after dawn one cold winter morning. The long shadows of the tree stumps making eerie lines across the ice and skiff of snow on top.

  • Fire and Ice. It’s winter here in the Netherlands and i shot this at sunrise after a very cold night. Shot with my sigma 10-20 @10 on a d70s +f/8 + Nd grad filter.

  • X=pro info: Picture build by the orton-technique. and added blue layer and some blur.

  • Taken in the late winter/early spring of 2005 with a Canon A75 at a boardwalk in the town of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, Québec, CANADA. The white expanse of snow visible beyond the trees is the frozen snow-covered Lake of Two Mountains.  Although I could see the arc of the trees when I took the shot and that is what I was aiming to capture, it was an extremely sunny day and I did not anticipate that the circle would be completed with the reflection… / Featured in All That Is Nature, May 2009 / Featured in Bits & Pieces group May 2009 / Featured in # 1 Artists of Redbubble May 2009 / Featured in the Natural color and light group February 2009 / Featured in Everything Winter / and Trees May 2008 groups. / Featured in Seasonal Scapes group October 08. / Featured in Seasonal Scapes group November 08,

  • Canon 350 D 17-40 mm lens. Winter landscape with sunset in fog.

  • Bow Lake. Alberta, Canada / March 2008 Inspired by comments from Stuart Chapman and Rhana Griffin on my last upload of this stunning setting, I decided to revisit this location… if only I could have actually revisited for real, but sadly only through my many pictures… This really was an expanse of breath taking scenery and I was more than happy to pull this one out of the bag…

  • Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. • Storm clouds seem to spew from top of majestic M. Rainier, almost as if this active volcano was erupting. Lupine and buttercup dot the alpine meadow in the foreground.

  • Taken on a very rare snowy morning in Bristol on my way to work. / Its the first time I have shot in the snow and the first time I have used my new tripod, so I was able to get nice slow speeds with a tight aperture. / A little work in PS to correct the colour and sharpen etc. Taken with a Nikon D70 and a CPL.

  • This oil painting was inspired by traveling in Portland, Oregon last Christmas during the worst white out in 40 years. The awesome quite and stillness of winter with it’s snow blanket drifitng in the breeze and the nightly shawdows on the water invites mystery and quiet contemplation.
