This series of flowers photographed using a macro lens is influenced by the hyper-representational paintings of Boris Vallejo and his wife Julie Bell. In their book The Fantasy of Flowers, Boris and Julie bring their extraordinary and unique vision to flower photography, uncovering a secret life of flowers that is inspirational. I hope to reveal a world of beauty by adding my own vision to create a new universe that unfolds to the eye of the camera and then to my own. Few things in nature are as versatile as flowers. I am often amazed by the delicacy of their sometime abstract and symmetrical design. Then I look closer and again am mesmerized by the richness, texture and variety color.I like to present the beauty of nature from an intimate point of view. “To analyze the charms of flowers is like dissecting music;it is one of those things which is far better to enjoy, than to attempt to understand.” / Henry T. Tuckerman (1813-1871) / American essayist. /
It’s amazing how many posters can be stuck to a telephone pole. you would never know it until you cut away a square section and paint a red dot on it. / “dot” was featured in the group Textures. “Dot” was featured in The Feature Fraternity

Memories of five years ago in Istanbul. A quick trip to Gloria Jeans Coffee shop at lunchtime, turned into a caffeine orgy. A few double espresso lattes (grande) while we chatted and it was back to work. Work in this case was teaching English to extremely spoiled Turkish teenagers, whose minds and bodies were also spinning out of control, having gorged themselves on Coke, greasy kebab meat and stodgy rice. If I could, then, leave but one legacy to humanity it would be this: don’t do two double espressos while teaching teenagers. The second cup

I was walking around the neighborhood last fall, looking for something to image when i came across this scene. The chair that was placed near some trash bins by a long abandoned government building. The light was just right and the texture of the scene really grabbed me. / “Alone” was featured in the group Rusty, Crusty and Falli… / “Alone” was featured in the group Live, Love, Dream / “Alone” was featured in Still Life Photography
I think this image is something of an optical illusion. to me, it appears to bulge out, even though it’s concave. you decide.
Another digital abstract image in which I am trying to convey speed. Using my favourite colour in the process. /
This is me and my best friend Sam merged together as one, as we convince ourselves we are one person really :) Were a superhuman together.
