This guy was one of the later hybernators that was in the cave. He was so cute and fuzzy, I would have pet him but it wouldn’t have been good… But it was good enough to get a picture of him. I never saw a bat before. Not wild at least. This was taken at the Crystal Cave in WI/US. / — Pictures belong to me.

I couldn’t believe it when i saw this today! some of you will remeber that in the fall i shot an image of a lady bug on a geranium leaf. I had orginally found her on the curtains. after i took that shot she took off some where in the house and has been in the house all winter. I grabbed my purse to head out this morning and had opened my purse to make sure i had my i.d in there and low and behold i found the littly lady crawling around on the inside of my purse. I’m assuming she was hybernating in there for the winter. and yes i’ve used my purse over the winter so i’m surprised i didn’t see her. Since its only -3 at the moment i didn’t want to set her outside so for the moment i’ve set her in a cool whip container with holes in the lid, a damp paper towel for water and crushed up cherrios so she has some food. once the weather warms up i will release her outside. I just couldn’t believe it when i saw it. Now if that isn’t a sign of good luck i don’t know what is. So here’s my little lucky lady. :)

i continue to take photos of bees perfectly still on flowers. great time for bee photo taking, i guess, the month of september. they look healthy. are they hybernating? silly question, i guess.
