Craig’s Hut on Mt Stirling in the Victorian High Country was built for the filming of The Man From Snowy River. / Lost only recently in the fires that swept the High Country an major effort is now underway to rebuild the hut. / The hut and it’s location with it’s magnificent views has become a major tourist attraction for both 4wd enthusiasts and the touring public. / This image of the hut was taken about 10 months before the fires swept through.

I’m heading into depression. I hate winter. This image is to remind me of the warmer days just gone. Pull out the winter costs and boots and get ready to hibernate.

My team of Track Workers, after a very cold and mostly sleepless night, thaw out whilst getting a fire going to cook breakfast before heading out once again to do volunteer maintenance work on the Bibbulmun Track, Western Australia.
i took this photo of keppel hut while my wife and two children warmed them self by a large and cozy fire in the humble but very pleasant hut.when i returned to the warmth of the fire a glass of wine and a roast dinner awaited me .as i sat and enjoyed my tea i wondered how it would have been for the keppel,s who built this hut early last century i wondered of the conversations and meals that took place around this fire when the stockmen came in from a hard days riding. mm sorry im still in exhibition mode .it has been very successfull.. this is in the yarra rangers N.P.

These (13) summer beach huts are waiting for action, most are locked with rusty padlocks and peeling paint, when we visit I often have a look through these, just in case the lighting is right, I think it was this time. / Processed via PS, cropped and added grain boasting colour. / Nikon D200, no alterations to light. ISO 200, standard lense
