All day today I have swallowed, hard, the bitter notion to cry… / Another week, another day, another night to go creeping by. / In a grip of emotion that squeezes too tight, I can hardly breathe… / It’s heavy and smothering, as though it comes to suffocate me / So many people around me, yet I feel undeniably secluded… / Even in a crowd of family and friends I am somehow seperated. / I don’t want to feel this way, I hate this constant threat of tears… / But lonely like a disease eats away at me, lonely is my fear. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ / I know the good Lord blesses those who have a giving heart and that is Bonnie!

Memory is a blanket of choices made, forgotten segments of a life once lived. The regret settles in. “I am so sorry I hurt you”. “If only I had a second chance”. Sadly memories can’t be remade. Once the choice is made…it fades, into a consequence of decisive action. We must live with. We must carry on. “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS TO US!” She screams. “DID YOU EVER LOVE ME?, DID YOU EVER CARE?” It all spirals, in my head. “DID YOU LOVE HER MORE THAN ME?” How do you answer that… So foggy. So dense. “A HOTEL? YOU TOOK HER TO A HOTEL?” Confused. I could not speak, even a single word. Everything is so cloudy… I can’t believe this is happening. The door slams… as she leaves… Leaving me to my foggy memory, trying to figure out just why I do what I do… The fog is always settled in.

barbed wire says ‘Stay Out!’. razor wire says ‘Fuck Off I’ll Kill You!’ there is too much of both in the world. Shot in 2001 with the ol K1000 in Vancouver where vacant lots are surrounded by this stuff. I think the first time I saw razor wire when I moved to Vancouver.
