Hanging Rock near Baltzers Lookout in Blackheath N.S.W. Australia I got up at 4am / I hopped in my 4WD and went up the mountains for 40 minutes / went on a fire-trail to the end until I came across a Locked Gate. / I got out with my Maglight torch and ran in the Dark for 30 minutes. / I got to the cliff edge as the sun was rising. / Climbed down and captured this Photo for you. Puerto Morelos, Mexico. March 2005 The Yucatan Penninsula was hit hard in October 2004 by Hurricane Wilma. The area is not immune to tropical rains, but Wilma was different. The storm moved slowly and the resulting rainfall was devasting. The effects were seen during our visit six months later. This photo was a natural. The boat, the sand, the beautiful blue sky and surrounding water, with the reminder of the storm being the pillar at the walkway down to the beach. This old horse drawn timber tram above Triplet Falls, still stands on the site of / Knotts No 1 Mill / The area surrounding Triplet Falls was once / home to Knotts No 1 sawmill. This mill was one / of the largest of the many timber mills that began / operation after the Colac-Beech Forest-Crowes / railway opened up the rugged and remote west / Otways in 1902. / The mill started in 1908 and was operated from / 1909, by a Melbourne timber merchant, G.W. / Knott. He sold it to the War Service Homes / Commission in 1920. / The mill processed over 3,600 tons of Mountain / Ash per year producing timber for the homes of / servicemen returning from World War One. / Now that the forest has reclaimed the site it is / hard to imagine the industry that was sustained / here for more than 20 years. I spent the afternoon at a charity auction today and was able to enjoy a lot of pretty amazing music. Leeroy Stager was one of those talents. Listen to A Hundred Million Reasons Leeroy Stagger is a Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter. Raised in rural British Columbia, Stagger worked in several local bands until gaining attention from acts such as Hot Hot Heat and Carolyn Mark. Reinventing himself as a singer-songwriter, he released his debut independent EP, Six Tales of Danger, in 2002.

My submission for the 100’s & 1000’s brief in the Canon Photo5 Comp. Tried to be original…but this was a hard one. I originally had the bulb stuffed full of the 100’s & 1000’s but when I was glueing the bottom back on I put it down so the glue could set and it broke on me…so I went with the explosion idea instead ;0) I just hope it meets the ‘up-close’ part of the brief…lol
