What does it mean? The question is: what should it mean? It should mean that we’re unique, we think for ourselves, and we’re going to make a difference in the world. But that scares some people. So tell those people that it means that everyone should just try to be the same. That way they’ll get out of your face. Be normal, it’s your disguise.

This is a photo of her the day I adopted her when found in an alley with her brothers & sisters. Everything is not what is seems at first glance. This is an integration of a known religious theme to a current situation of human rights violations. The main figure represents any victim of human rights. The perpetrators surrounding the figure represent the world Ethnicities and religions that have participated in human rights violations. The cloth at the bottom of the page is the Iraqi flag.

A reimagined piece from “awakening” and my final painting for the upcoming art show. Not really sure the size of the cabinet door but if you could have only seen how stressed I was trying to come up with a color scheme for this one. Take a step into my mind and see what meaning this conjured up: With everything that has surrounded me in the past couple months, the stress of class, unknown depression, and just the inability to be happy, the one thing that has kept me breathing is my love, but more importantly the love given to me which has kept my body warm. I don’t think I need to spell it out to ya now with my color choices. So…um…enjoy

The homeless population of Philadelphia is as large as ever. This particular gentleman was a wonderful character – so proud and full of spirit and dignity. He was very gracous when I asked if I could photograph him! It recently was shown and sold (11×14 print) in the Photographic Society of Philadelphia’s Exhibit at Philadelphia City Hall! Thank you kind sir!
