Acrylic On Canvas (Image has been digitally manipulated) What if you woke up one day and to your amazement found a tree growing on your head with all your favorite things? It did happen to one girl whose name was Christabel…some said she became a tree eventually….and if you ever see a tree growing with teacups and music notes, that’s her :D / You can view and buy my other “She Grows A Tree” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:
Birch fences are part of my youth where I was living,at that time my mother was in chock seeing sheeps or cows in our vegetables garden and we could see hay bundles sleeping on the field.Of course I knew that if I followed the birch fence I would find the first blueberries for the love of my life,my father…a ritual I did for most of my youth. At first I only had a few bleuberries but what a treat I had looking to my father eating the first handful of those tasty wild berries.I was so proud and happy…. :)) / Autumn time in Saint-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada / Taken with a D200 Nikon /
Male hands holding a small tree. Hands are dirty.
/ / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

An idea I had about the total rampage our lifestyle is causing the environment. / It was then solidified into an idea by a line in a song by Paul Simon. / his song “The Teacher” has a line / ”..one ate the forests and the fields, the other sucked all the moisture from the clouds, and we were amazed by the power of their appetite”...
