Ever see a dragon do the hula? This is my rendition of what it might look like with a white dragon doing the hula dance. This came about as I was teasing a friend and they challenged me that I could not create a dancing dragon. Well, here she is in full hula dance. Best of blessings and enjoy, / Maraleh

Hula Dancer number 3.
this is the kumu hula, the teacher, performing with his halau (his school, troup) / every year hula halau (schools) come to the big island from all over the world for a week of dancing and festivities; to celebrate the art of hula and it’s great fun and something beautiful to be a part of whether you dance or just enjoy watching the dancers.
these dancers are performing a hula auwana, the modern hula. the beauty of the dancer’s, the movements, the music, it touches my heart like nothing else has ever touched me. i started out as a photographer shooting hula performances and fell in love with the art form and began dancing. since my knees gave out i’ve had to give up dancing, but i’m still close to it and back to where i started photographing the dancers.
this is another image from the hula performance i covered yesterday. the fella in front is the kumu hula, the teacher, the source. The dancers are his haumana…his students. their performance was beautiful
Some like to take the time to decorate various things for the holidays…but not Ferald…he likes to decorate himself instead.
