/ Statue of Sir Walter Watson Hughes, North Terrace, Adelaide, SA / The memorial commemorates the life of Sir Walter Watson Hughes, a noted South Australian benefactor. Hughes made significant contributions to the economic development of the state, his foresight leading to the discovery of the Wallaroo mines. He also supported major cultural and educational activities, including the University of Adelaide. The statue is the only known example in South Australia of the work of noted English sculptor Francis Williamson. The town of Moonta on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia was the place that in 1861, Paddy Ryan found copper traces coming out of a wombats burrow. The wombat’s burrow was on the pastoral lease of Walter Watson Hughes. Hughes formed the Tipara Mining Company, which later became the Moonta Mining Co. / Images of Hughes Pump House Moonta / / More info on Sir WALTER WATSON HUGHES The building in the background was the first building for the University of Adelaide campus, Gothic-styled. Here is a montage of twelve 4.25” x 6.25” pencil drawings of the movie X-Men the Last stand. I try not to draw celebrities any but I discovered if people see a face they recognize they are more apt to commission you to draw someone they know, if not, of themselves.
A collection of square images. All money goes toward printing and framing costs for a self funded exhibition in 2009.

Born James Howlett and commonly known as Logan, Wolverine is a mutant, possessing animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, retracting bone claws, and a healing factor that allows him to quickly recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin, also enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. This healing ability enabled the supersoldier program Weapon X to bond the near indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeleton and claws without killing him. Wolverine was typical of the many tough anti-authority anti-heroes that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam War; his willingness to use deadly force and his brooding nature became standard characteristics for comic book anti-heroes by the end of the 1980s.As a result, the character became the clear favorite for fans of the increasingly popular X-Men franchise. Wolverine has been featured in his own solo comic since 1988 and has been a central character in every X-Men adaptation, including animated television series, video games, and the live-action 20th Century Fox X-Men film series, in which he is portrayed by Hugh Jackman. graphite and karisma pencils used to create image
