These cubs were about 7 months old and very playful, but not just now! We were very lucky with our bear sightings and I was able to get some good close-up shots. Even at two years old, Lucy knows how to go for the kill. Of course, it doesn’t look like her little brother minds too much either. In a few years, we’re going to have to start keeping an eye on these two. At least we know they love each other.

I Love Me as a greeting card design!! =D / In the background is the kanji “ai”, 爱 meaning love.. n_n” There are some of us, who took it upon ourselves to do things for others. to help others.. to make others happy.. but we forgot about ourselves! we forgot that we need to make ourselves happy too. we need to love ourselves too. if we don’t love ourselves, who’ll love us? i dedicate this to every one of you kind souls out there!! remember to always love yourself as well!! =D i especially thank Karin who kept reminding me that i am love-able as well. bad history and with the kind of people i’m surrounded by, i was made to believe that nobody will love me for everything that i am. am made to realise all my faults and bad points and weaknesses. made to believe am ugly and useless. having depression doesn’t help as i view myself as nothing more than a mental girl. i totally believe that it’s impossible for anyone to really love me. But Karin showed me otherwise. she made me answer and admit my pretty gd points.. and i realised.. hey!! i can be love-able?! am still trying to accept that now.. lolz.. it’s still kinda hard to accept, having been instilled those “i sux!” mindset for years… ahahahah.. “Gift of Love” is the English Translation from Hawaiian. I have photographed this family for many years as they grow and expand; three generations of loving images. The father is a working ranch hand on Maui’s large Ka’ono’ulu Ranch. Yes, a real Hawaiian cowboy—known here as a paniolo. Funny story: I submitted this image to iStockphoto knowing its value in stock would be huge. Well, like most of my submissions, it was rejected. This time they called it PORNOGRAPHY!!!! I almost had to laugh…. and cry. Well, at this point I am glad it it not in the public domain as stock. I’ll wait for the perfect client to come along and do this image proud!
