  • A long walk through a forested area took us along this branch of a stream. The water was clear as a bell, the hues of greens unbelievable and natural. I could not find an explanation for this unique coloring. It made you want to jump right in and play. / Kodak C743

This view was from our balcony in Huatulco,( pronounced Wa-Toque-ko) Mexico. We could not have ordered a more perfect view. The town is on the southern end of Mexico and known for it’s stunning beauty. Kodak C743

  • After a drive and a hike past several waterfalls along a river we came to this pristine swimming area. The water was gorgeous and came complete with swings and jump ropes. The sun was bright and warm which made it too idyllic for words.Best viewed on view larger. Kodak C743

Dawn light reflections and feeding birds caught my eye on the Copalita River, where it meets the Pacific ocean at Playa Bocana, Huatulco, Mexico. Taken in winter during the ‘dry’ season, when there are no clouds and the sunlight is strong and pure in this unpolluted area, Featured The Colours of Water group, 1.Jan. 2009

  • View From My Room Day 7
    by Barbara Brown

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Santa Cruz de Huatulco. I only uploaded this to accunt for day 7 and to point out Huatulco. On the advise of friends, we drove all the way to Huatulco, having been told how beautiful it is. Well, it is in the midst of a National Park and has 7 beautiful bays. They tout they want to preserve the natural beauty of the area. If you consider grading every hillside around the bays to build luxury high rise all-inclusive hotels and condminiums preserving the beauty. Santa Cruz is the bay that the cruise ships dock and they have built a pretty, phoney town there. Our choice of hotels was a $300 a night all-inclusive or a smaller hotel in Santa Cruz away from the beach. We elected the smaller but very nice hotel with pretty gardens and pool

  • Mist On The Sierra Madres
    by Bluenorther

    US$3.99–US$91.20

After riding up the mountain on an ATV this view of the Sierra Madre Mountains was a reward for sure. It had clouded over for a brief time which gave us a break from the heat. As the sun was starting to come back through again, this was the result. Kodak C743

  • Waterfall On The River
    by Bluenorther

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Taken along a river walk in Huatulco, Mexico. This set of waterfalls was a instant favorite for both my husband and myself. It was cheerfully gurgling and splashing as we stopped to snap this photo . The sun reflected beautifully off the river water and showed the unique emerald green coloring that this river water offered to perfection. Crystal clear you could see the bottom contours with nothing to obstruct the view of it’s whites sands, pebbles and black shale. Where the shadows did fall they offered a lovely offset to the sun’s brightness. A complete pleasure to behold. Kodak C743. Shutter Speed 1/105, Focal Length 18mm, Exposure Time 1/106sec., ISO 160, Corel Photo Album for cropping.

  • This is The beach in front of the Barcelo in Huatulco, Mexico.Huatulco is a coastal paradise with crystalline waters and various types of sand. It is located 277 km (171 mi) from Oaxaca and 50 minutes, by plane, from Mexico City. Because it is on the Pacific coast and has lowland jungle vegetation, the climate is hot and semi-humid, with an average temperature of 28º C (82º F) and sunny days throughout most of the year. This is Tangolunda Bay. It is considered an important ecological reserve due to its coral reef. Sitting here and soaking in the ambience was just about as close to perfect as I have ever experienced.
