This little fella was shot at Reef HQ Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Aquarium shots can be tricky if you are new to it, like I am. So here’s my technical stuff: Re-set ISO to 400 from default on a Nikon D-SLR. Went to manual mode, chose f13 for depth of field, with bare, built-in flash turned on. The flash therefore took care of the exposure time/speed setting and subject movement. It was close to, but angled away from the aquarium glass to prevent flash reflection. Rubber lens hoods can help if that’s a problem.

My pride and joy!!! / Befor even starting to realise I loved photography so much, I was wanting to enter my ute in a show. Entering conditions asked for 4 photos to be submitted showing the veichle’s nature – this being one of mine. / The ute being named Hellrazer, the idea of a cemetary only seemed fit. / So using a long exposure and a can of flamable liquid the final image was more than pleasing.

Now Lloyds group after the banking problems. It was one of Scotlands national banks that now has been sold off. It is just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and the other side is spectucular from Princes Street. Used f22 to get long exposure and get the light trails.

This work is not so much about the subject, but my first attempt at emulating the absolutely gorgeous style of Redbubble’s infamous and infinitely generous Paul Vanzella – his colours and particularly the flatness in the manner of Australian artist Jeffrey Smart Some people have b-mailed me and asked if this is the door to Redbubble!
