For fans of swords and sorcery! This highly detailed work is one of my personal favorites! This wizard is ready to battle with wand or sword, but he much prefers to work with his potions of power. These shirts are well made and the unique printing process creates a Bright, Colorful and Large image that is almost as good as silk screening and much, much better than what you get from cafepress. FOUR HUNDRED VIEWS ~ THANK YOU / FEATURED ON REDBUBBLE HOME PAGE From the Third Man to the Ragman / The Third Man film celebrates it’s 60th anniversary this year (1949 ~ 2009) Orson Welles in post-war Vienna Carol Reed director of The Third Man, I will always associate as the male director with a female name directing the leading character Holly Martins another strong impressive male with a female name. However what legacy is left with me is his dramatic lighting and film sets, which gave introduce the monochrome’s twin towers ~ light and shade, and shape and form in combination and fusion for intensity and impact, something which is not lost on my own work. Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (There is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

FEATURED ON REDBUBBLE HOME PAGE / 12 AUGUST 2009 ~ THANK YOU / 250 views ~ thank you Somewhere in the North of Ireland …......... Have you seen No. 29a ?, I heard this voice say. I thought I was alone, I got up off the ground and looked around. Cloth cap, grey hair, bald and receding in the centre, about seventy if he was a day, a North Dublin accent to be sure. I was looking for the bus with number 29a on it he said again. Had I seen it, I wasn’t sure, there’s a group of about ten or twelve over there, it might be there, I replied. 29a ran from Eden Quay out to Newgrove Cross, via Fairview, Killester and through Rahenny Village. I was on it for twenty-eight years he said. When they retired me I heard they retired it as well. Somebody told me they sent them up North, about twenty four of them. Well you’ve come to the right place I said, this place has got old buses everywhere. He talked, more like rambled on for ages about Leyland Atlantean’s and Routemasters and other old buses, but none of them meant anything to me. He headed off into the distance over to the other buses I’d seen earlier and I never saw him again. They were the dead Dublin buses, and I guess this place was the terminus
FEATURED ON REDBUBBLE HOME PAGE / 4TH AUGUST 2009 THREE HUNDRED VIEWS ~ THANK YOU ALL Killyleagh a village on Strangford Lough. This was a village coal quay with tiny lock up coal stores where coal men and their horses pulled up each day and loaded up the coal. The coal had come in by ships. It was a part of history. The whole area was demolished and developed as apartments and houses ~ what a shame Kodak negative scanned via Nikon CoolScan !

It may be a ‘new’ version of an old shot …but is it improved…? hmm….thats the question…. (CLICK ‘next’ to compare….) The original untouched dawn mist was my 2nd ever post to rb with taken with my brand-new pocket fuji finepix A500… and it’s been the most popular shot in my gallery by far. It’s just reached the unbelievable figure of 100 faves – how awesome and mindboggling is that!! So this plus a new challenge gave me the idea of tweaking it slightly to see if it could be improved on . I fiddled with the jpg as camera raw in PS Els 6… / Comments, comparisons and suggestions most welcome as I’d love to know what you think…..
