Full view please :) Delighted to collaborate once again with my favourite poet girlinthestars. Amy and I really love inspiring one and other. She has an amazing collection of poems, please check them out. Here is Remembering How To Breathe In time, they say / But I think that it’s their time / They’re speaking of It’s fine, I reply / But that’s just so / They’ll let me be I’ve lied upon fevered bark / Flying the ribbon of our eternity / Watching the curve of us / Intertwine the trees / Coloring the breeze, baby blue / It kidnaps my lonely / And nestles me, secure with you As they all declare Don’t look back / Don’t look forward / Just stay still / To count your blessings / Don’t cry now / Don’t cry later / Wash it all away / Think not on your regret / But on who you’ve never met Sometimes the heart thinks it has moved on / But it’s wrong / Oh, it’s wrong / It’s just occupied with something else So if you find yourself alone / City lights, dying down / The memory of her, slinking under your door / You may rest, listening for nothing / And then hear a familiar something It is only me Reciting the riddle of your leaving / Breaking the fragments of you, smaller / As my unwillingness compromises to try And so remembering how to breathe… I sigh ..::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Model / River background / River foreground / Woods / Butterflies If you like this piece, please check out: / / /

Model – Mishkamink I turned Mishka into Emily the Strange. Took a bit of work and some mad photoshop skillz, but I think the result speaks for itself. No, it’s not Gogo Yubari. Emily the Strange character copyright Rob Reger and Cosmic Debris Etc. Inc. / Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

This photo was taken at the funeral of the first police officer killed while on duty in my city, Windsor, Ontario, in over 125 years. It was also the largest funeral in at least fifty years, if not longer. The officer’s children’s classes came, and as high school students we were paired up with them to watch them for the day. This was my student… I think he was ten at the time…

Forget Me Not- Worked in Photoshop. / At first glance the ‘forget me not’ is a tiny plant that you could walk by and hardly notice. But on closer inspection like most things from mother nature it is absolutely beautiful. I think I did her justice Canon 400D – 100mm 2.8 macro lens- photoshop CS3 /

Larger than most tree dwelling mammels, mature koala’s wiegh between 6-14 kilograms, they have a face rather than a muzzle a trait shared with humans. / Long powerful limbs, large feet and hands with long curved claws, the arrangement of fingers and toes creates great gripping power for climbing. A thick wooly coat insulates them from extreme heat and cold, their posture is upright and they have a thick gristley rump on which they perch, they do have a tail but it is just a stump hidden by hair. They feed on eucalyptus leaves which is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, with an unappealing taste, poisonous essential oils, tannins containing dangerous phenols and a poor nutritional value,it’s no wonder only four mammels feed on them,The Brush and Ring Tailed Possum the Greater Glider and The Koala. The Koala survives on this poor diet by having a slow metabolism that conserves energy, thus coping with the poor nutritional value of the leaf and an extremely well developed detoxifying mechanism in the liver to protect it from the poisons in it’s food The koala is native to Australia

I’m not entirely sure how I did this. I know I took away the background from the tiny Small Copper butterfly, perched it on some leaves floating in the lake & fiddled with some layer stuff. It’s just for fun, not a serious attempt at layering, but it’s a beginning. The butterfly should have a reflection, one day it might, if I can figure it out. I don’t think I can do this again as it was all just playing and I can’t remember the sequence of events, but who knows where it will lead? / 011208 / PSE7 / 100% of ALL sales will benefit Butterfly Conservation Society (UK). / www.butterfly-conservation.org My Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. The gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar, is one of North America’s most devastating forest pests. The species originally evolved in Europe and Asia and has existed there for thousands of years. In either 1868 or 1869, the gypsy moth was accidentally introduced near Boston, MA by E. Leopold Trouvelot. About 10 years after this introduction, the first outbreaks began in Trouvelot’s neighborhood and in 1890 the State and Federal Government began their attempts to eradicate the gypsy moth. These attempts ultimately failed and since that time, the range of gypsy moth has continued to spread. Every year, isolated populations are discovered beyond the contiguous range of the gypsy moth but these populations are eradicated or they disappear without intervention. It is inevitable that gypsy moth will continue to expand its range in the future.
