This image was taken after my partner of 15 years died. His family came and took everything away from our home. I’ve taken with me our cat and our 15 years
My uploaded work has been a bit dark and meaningful of late so I’m going to lighten up and post a few pretty pictures to break it all up a bit. This building I am going to assume is quite distictive and you all know what it is and where it is. It’s one of my very favorite public sculptures in the whole wide world. Its just so spendidly itself. But given that its had its picture taken about forty seven million times in its thirty odd years of life, the question is how do you make it seem fresh and shiny and beautiful all over again? My father who was a brilliant photographer and who gifted me with his love of the craft had his own anwer and that was…......to sit and wait ….......and pray and hope that the gods are listening and send along a stunning few moments of evening light….. it was all in the light for him and its all in the light for me…. The other thing that he passed along was a love of unusual ways to capture images and this particular image was taken with one of his very eccentric and marvellous homemade cameras….. yep…. why waste a perfectly good Port box when you can spend a moment or three and turn it into a simply wonderful camera and then load it up with scruptious film ….. say like Veliva or Ektachrome 64….. and then go and sit somewhere beautiful and splendid and wait for the sky to kick in…... and here is a little picture of some of dear old Dad’s homemade cameras…. /

Water droplets on a dandelion seed…
Last of the dandelions….
I got bored one day and decided to use my macro lens on something other than flowers, haha… so I had some old costume jewelry…and here we are. Sigh, someday I’ll have some real diamonds.
Last in the series… I can’t decided if this is my favorite or not. Enjoy! There are dandelion seeds with colorful paper as the background.
Tiny mysterious flower that are in my backyard… Enjoy!
Something from the springtime to make me happy… These were little Persian violets that I love, but I couldn’t keep them alive for very long. Enjoy!
There’s something about these dead daisies that just calms me… hmm.. that was an odd sentence. Haha, anyway…. I took this in the fall or late summer, just when all my daisies were going away. Enjoy!
Another with my experiment with this tiny spring I found. I placed it on a CD along with some metallic paper to reflect in it. Enjoy!

This is an ode to how hard relationships can be- Thanks to Darren and Frankie who were part of this idea I had. Shot at Paul Vanzella’s studio, thank you for the space, and constant encouragement. (I was listening to this while editing the photo, I saw Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel sing it recently in Melbourne. Wow. ) When you’re weary, feeling small, / When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all; / I’m on your side. when times get rough / And friends just cant be found, / Like a bridge over troubled water When you’re down and out, / When you’re on the street, / When evening falls so hard / I will comfort you. / Ill take your part. / When darkness comes / And pains is all around, / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will lay me down. / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will lay me down. Sail on silver girl, / Sail on by. / Your time has come to shine. / All your dreams are on their way. / See how they shine. / If you need a friend / I’m sailing right behind. / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will ease your mind. / Like a bridge over troubled water / I will ease your mind. / I will lay me down. / song featured in KUSTOM KULTURE / and PULP NOIR Nikon D70s , 85mm lens, at f 1.8
