I was pleased to capture both the iridescence and the shadow of the fly’s veined wing. / What a bristly body it has! Usually unwanted as a visitor, especially on our white chinaware! But flies too are a part of nature, with a role to play. In my parents’ garden, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. The last days of August, 2009.
