This is Libby, my little buddy. She is very photogenic but very shy. When I got her from a rescue group (The Rainbow Connection Animal Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio), She had BB’s under her skin. Some fine upstanding citizen had shot her either with a shot gun or BB gun, as a kitten. / She is the sweetest Cat you will ever find and now lives the fine life!

Housesitting (Eye call it “Home Stewarding”) last fall. Keeping Company w/Kats (two). —There was always this .. grit, dirt & detritus on the living room floor when Eye’d return from doin’ my biz in the world; every DAY. It was always in a kind of round pattern, like a circle. “Where this @$%^ comin’ from??” says Eye. / —Finally, the Man got some BRAINS: Eye looked UP … Eye made noises as if Eye was leaving the house, slamming the door / in the process. Got quiet. Waited … Earnest scritching noises & light banging from the ceiling heat register —it’s snowing DUST. Crept up the stairs reeeeel slow-like … took for-EVUH. Nearing the bedroom door directly over said living room, Eye’m stretched out in the stairwell, lifting my camera (already turned on) to the base of the 2nd floor, straining to see. I press the shutter! / —You see what Eye saw … See that hole in the floor? ;>

This is my male cat with the female name, there was some arguing over his sex and unfortunately when the other person finally admitted that he was wrong Mable was very accustomed to his name so it stuck!

Let me introduce you to Lotje. She is one of our two cats. Emma is the other one and though that’s the Queen of the house, Lotje is the Princess. / She always acts like she is the most important of the whole world (and she is of course). / She likes attention, but ONLY on when she wants it. But then SHE wants IT….NOW!!!! / Isn’t she sweet????

This was my cat many years ago. Though you wouldn’t have guessed unless you knew where to look for the brownish fur, he was part Siamese and loved to talk. In fact he talked so much, my whole family ended up affectionately calling him “Whiney Cat,” and completely forgot what we named him in the first place!
