  • The Tea House, built (1890), on the corner of Normanby Road and Clarendon Street, South Melbourne.

  • Wentworth Castle is a large house originally built for the Earl of Strafford – dating back to 1672 The house has 2 different and beautiful frontages and this is the one you first see on entering the estate and gardens. The house is now used as a college. The house is surrounded by beautifully restored gardens and several other restored buildings and structures.   • The brick walkway leading to this lovely home reminds me of a welcome mat rolled out to guests that are weary and in need of some good old-fashioned hospitality. That’s why I took the photo from this angle. Hope you like it. But there’s more to this story . . . The original photo of this charming old mansion in the Deep South was enhanced by my good pal Maria Dryfhout from Michigan.
