  • Lithuania, Vilnius region, the lake “ŽALIEJI EŽERAI” (Green lakes) the top 10 in the Homes Challenge in A Place To Call Home: THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC FOR VIEW) /

  • Since this is my most popular image I should say something about it… The location wasnt planned at all, I had just learned how to make these little planets from here: http://www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=436459 and was in desperate need of something to photograph to try it out… so this is just the building across from my house and my parking lot :D

  • Belton House, Lincolnshire.

  • A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

  • A lone house sitting in the middle of nowhere with a magnificent view of The Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye.

  • An acrylic painting depicting 2 deer on the front snowy lawn of a farm on the night before Christmas! Featured on the Home Page on 12/24/08 my first home page feature!

  • Small cottage under the mighty Buachaille Etive Mòr in the Glencoe region of Scotland. November 2008

  • It snowed today and I went out for a walk with my camera. This is one of my favorite houses that is just facing at the end of my road. But don’t get me wrong. This house is a complete contrast to our terraced houses that we live in. The field belongs to a school, which just makes this something special.

  • In my series; Painting the Masters, at Shipley art gallery. This one is Lamesley, a little hamlet just outside Gateshead. / By J.A. Dees. A local unknown artist, from an indeterminate time. Watercolour 16” x 12”

  • Why not a Chrismas card !!!! A place called St-Anne-des-Plaines,the paradise of strawberry during summer time but fields of snow on winter…...”with some processing”...When I saw that old barn I already notice the beautiful colors of the wooden boards.Quebec,Canada. / / /

  • Had a great adventure today – went for a drive to the forest for a ‘quick walk’ to take a few photos of the beautiful winter landscape – didn’t quite work out that way though!!! We ended up having to abandon the car in the forest car park as we couldn’t make it back up the frozen road to the top and the forest driveway that we had planned to return along was closed off with locked barriers – so ended up having to walk some extra 3 miles to the nearest village where we luckily caught the bus home! lol I’m sure someone suggested leaving the car at the top of the track and walking down …. still it was a fabulous day and have got some amazing shots in the forest to share! x This was taken along the road between Hamsterley Forest and Woodland Village on the walk back – must have been someone’s pride and joy once – and I’m sure those pigeon sheds would have held many a prize winning bird in their day.

  • Featured in Red Bubble Home Page on June 9th, 2009 Featured in Photography 101 on March, 2009 Challenge winner Out with the Old, In with the New on January, 2009

  • Featured # 1 Artists of RedBubble February 20, 2009. I loved the look of the long, late afternoon shadows across the snow on this day. This old farmhouse on the knoll fascinates me every time I drive by … probably more so than any grand mansion ever could. It’s vacant now, has been for as long as I can remember … the torn-off porch was the last indignity. But somehow, love and laughter remain. It must have been a very happy home, once. Image taken on January 20, 2009 with the Nikon D40x, using the 18-200mm VR lens and the CP filter … along Route 97 near Glenwood, Maryland. Cloning of snow spots (from an earlier shoot) and levels and shadows & highlights were used in Photoshop, and the image was then put through Photomatix’s HDR process.

  • Hi all, been away for quite a while now, hope you are all well. I clicked on RB yesterday for the first time in ages and was pleased to see the high standard has still been maintained, this inspired me to try and make time for photography again, i had thousands of photos i had taken but not done anything with, so this morning before i went to work i got up and did this, i thought it was quite topical for the weather we are having here in England at the moment. It is a village scene from our local village Wentworth. Hope you like it. / Dave.

  • It was a dreary and grey day today. The fog was so thick so I decided to go for a drive to one of the lighthouses. This is an old outhouse hanging over the edge of the cliff next to the lighthouse. This is what the lighthouse keeper would use to scratch that itch… lol. It’s probably about 100 feet to the ocean straight below. / / What you can’t see in the image is that behind the outhouse there is nothing but open ocean for the next 3000 miles. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / Canon 400D/XTI / 3 Shots.
