To me, this is quintessentially Italy – rolling hills, unified trees, brilliant light and hard edge graphic signs. If it wasn’t for this bold little blue sign, I’d be driving off onto the wrong side of the road everytime. This image sums up Italy for me and whilst staying in a small country village I spyed this wonderful image with dark looming sky in the background, sun drenched light in the foreground, and a distant abode living quite contently in the rustle of its surrounding trees. I was riding my auntie’s old school push-bike, with daughter in rear and cameras in a very girly basket in the front – who cares what I looked like, I got the shot! (may even post the bike with me on it – not flattering)

This is my ” Dream Home” and has been for a rather long while now. It sits right across the street from my friends house, so I see it often. Some find this home scary looking, but I find it intriguing….very much so.

The rain finally eased up toady…..probably because it was back to work after easter..lol / Anyway, I managed to get out after dinner. Went to Merewether Baths and because today was ‘cleaning day’ the pool was empty so I could actually get into it without getting too wet the water was just up to my knees I got a few pics before it was too dark. I am going to post 2 shots of the pump house, both have a very different feel about them and since one of the objects of this site is to actually sell art something I have not been successful with as of late… I wanted to put up both as they will probably appeal to different people…I hope!

I was having lunch with my beautiful wife the other day at a rather unusual place, right across the road from my office. Never been there before… it was at the Northern Metropolitan Institute of Tafe and they have the special room on the third floor where trainee chefs get to practice their cooking skills and serve to the unsuspecting public. This was the view virtually from the table I was sitting at… the view was way better than the food!

A photography-based artwork, with effects created in photoshop CS2 I set out to create an aged feel to this piece by adding sepia tones and layering textures over the top. This shot was taken on the way home from a motorcycle trip to Dayton, OH. My buddy was getting a little ticked off at my wanting to stop to take this shot, as we tried to outrun the rain. Am I glad we stopped !!! This looked like an old church, that someone then had used as a residence for years. I LOVE the red leather chair on the porch, and the sky was just perfect for HDR. Taken with Nikon D300 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Post processing included HDR treatment, and some dodge & burn.
