A lone cottage in the middle of a huge deserted coastal region in rural ireland with a windswept landscape. There are also dramatic clouds in the sky over the atlantic ocean.
Staithes is the most northern village in North Yorkshire on the east coast of England, a real haunt for artists and photographers.

This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!
This scene is photographed a lot. I’ve tried to make this one stand out from the rest. Hopefully I succeeded. / / Camera: FujiFilm FinePix S7000 / Date: 25/01/2008 11:56AM / ISO200 / f/8 / 1/5sec exposure / Cir Polarising Filter / Tripod with wet feet. / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
A view from the mountains in Tenerife, Spanish Canary Island. I just have to go back to this place!! If you look down through the valley, you can see the thread of a road that we traveled to get to a small restaurant.
This was taken in Chicago from the Navy Pier at Lake Mich. with my Nikon D40 at a 55mm zoom. <—-Unfortunately the biggest lens I have.
Operated by the Bluff Harbour Board, as a lighted tower and boat shed for the Pilot cutter from 1877, and was replaced by this building in 1912. Originally manned by two people until the early 1930’s when four were stationed there. Additional houses for the Harbourmaster and Pilots were also sited on the Pilot Station Reserve. © edwin wood
Acrylic On Canvas (Original available 120cm by 80cm) Concept: Ophelia, Phoebe and Mel living lives that they have always envisioned, a life defined by their own terms and not by some other people’s. They may have chosen paths that are less travelled but have proved fulfilling. The title on Ophelia’s book reads “Making A Living By Being Yourself” – a desire represented by most of us here, I believe.
This photo was taken with my new canon lens 18-200mm on 10th of this month. / These unreal clouds went past my place so I ran down to Mills Beach and got there just at the right time!!! /
This is a little spot on Newfoundlands east coast called Hearts Content. I was driving by when I saw this sunset happening. The lighthouse in the background watches for sailors returning home. / / LARGE VIEW RECOMMENDED / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / Canon rebel
I don’t know – this was an experiment with a mood. / At some point it seemed to suggest the invisible solidity of yesterday – never mind that you don’t build houses in the sea.
Loosely based around Koh Pannyi in Thailand(it actually looks nothing like this as i was also thinking of snakes and ladders at the time).A muslim village built entirely on stilts in the sea.

It was a dreary and grey day today. The fog was so thick so I decided to go for a drive to one of the lighthouses. This is an old outhouse hanging over the edge of the cliff next to the lighthouse. This is what the lighthouse keeper would use to scratch that itch… lol. It’s probably about 100 feet to the ocean straight below. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography
