This abandoned house was found on the highway, just out of Clare (2 hours north of Adelaide), South Australia, Australia. I have changed it to sepia to add to the mood. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera.

One of the first street shots I ever took back in 1964 in the East End of London. This was before Playstations, and probably the only ‘toy’ these kids shared between them was a skipping rope. Old bomb sites still held a fascination though as a form of amusement and exploration, as can be seen here. It was taken using a Yashica Mat 120 film twin lens reflex camera that took me six months to save up for. I used Tri-X B/W film and printed on a hard grade of paper to get the punchy contrast, a characteristic of all my early B/W work. Simply water droplets and the patterns they make… This is condensation on a water bottle, I used my macro lens for this one and the background was my computer screen. :D Enjoy!

I picked out these roses for my father to give my mother for Valentine’s Day. They’re such a deep red color and the petals are velvety…almost black. I love those type of roses. I used a really low white balance when I shot this to give it a more bluish tone. Enjoy!

These are the same roses from Valentine’s Day with the velvetly petals. I adjusted the white balance on my camera before shooting to give it a bluish tone. It looks like crushed eyeshadow to me…:D Shot with a sigma 105mm macro, indoors with flash. Enjoy!

Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

I so should not have been where is was sitting to get this photograph of Lands End, UK. Within seconds of this shot being taken I was covered in spray and the grass became quite slippery around me. I did sit there for quite some time marveling at the power of the ocean, it was hypnotic. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/9, 1/640 sec, ISO 250. No filters used and hand held. A small amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop. A contrast map and hue deference in photoshop.
