The lighthouse at Whidbey Island, decorated for Christmas. Used as a Christmas card with the caption “May all your Christmases be bright.”
Built in 1870 by Marvin Sylvester Wood now owned by the woodhouse preservation group a non-profit organization. The organization decorates this house every holiday season with lights and santa clause somewhere on the property.
I decided to see what this would look like in black and white and I really like it. This is on the Oregon Coast in Florence.

Photograph is of a private residence, that was originally a small Refectory attached to a nearby church and manse. Definition: A refectory is a dining room, especially in monasteries, boarding schools and academic institutions. One of the places it is most often used today is in graduate seminaries. It is derived from the Latin reficere: to remake or restore, via Late Latin refectorium, which means a place one goes to be restored. I thought the light coming down under the stairs looked awesome, and that a HDR had to be done. Haha. :) For this HDR I used my tripod, had 7 exposures and is processed in Photomatix Pro.
