  • I feel sharks are peaceful by nature and being over fished, killed by nets, and by finning ( fishermen take all the fins of of the shark and throw the shark back into the water alive and unable to swim, there are no regulatons on this activity). You are more likely to be hit by lightning then to be bit by a shark. Sharks usually only bite because they mistake humans for their favorite food the seal. If people don’t help the shark they will be come exstinct in the near future. I feel they are very graceful creatures and should be protected. Please go to / Sharkwater to find out more on sharks and how they are being mistreated. Half of the mark up amount will go to seashepherd to help to preserve this glaceful creature. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / I painted this black tip reaf shark in acrylic on canvas / Animals / Birds / Drawings / Flowers / Water / Holiday / Paintings / Sunsets / Autumn

  • With the US Presidential election quickly approaching, I thought I’d upload a couple of political tees. I’m Canadian but I get so engrossed in American politics and I pay very close attention to what happens in America because they are our neighbours. You can tell that I lean towards the Republican side though being a Christian I am absolutely pro life and anti-gay marriage.

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Jasper – Marble Bar #1 Just some of the amazing colours of Jasper found at Marble Bar, Pilbara Region, Western Australia. Marble Bar is situated 218 kilometres southeast of Port Hedland, Western Australia, and is renowned as the hottest town in Australia, due to the record heat wave of 1923/24. The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest maximum to have been reached in Marble Bar as 49.2 degrees C. The town was called Marble Bar after a stunning formation of jasper which settlers mistook for a huge bar of marble. Marble Bar had a population of over 5,000 after gold was found nearby in 1891, but today the town has about 410 inhabitants. However, it continues to be a very productive centre, with gold, tin, silver, lead, zinc, copper and jade deposits being mined. Marble Bar is a very historic town, with many old buildings and remnants of the past. The Government Buildings built in 1896 cost 7949 pounds, 11 shillings and two pence to complete. Comet Gold Mine and the Corunna Downs Airbase were one of the best kept secrets of World War II.

  • Sony Alpha 350, f5.6 @ 6.0 sec exposure – Saturday Night, 7th February 2009 – the only spot I could stand to get this shot was on the edge of out water-feature looking over the neighbour’s fence so there was nowhere to put a tripod of any kind. But with what was going on around us at the time it felt very important to me to try to capture something of the atmosphere at the time… I’m not sure what the green light spot is, but it shows in many of the images I took of the sky both this night and in the coming days. The moonlight reflecting off something in the smoke and ash in the air? After the hottest day ever in Melbourne Australia (46.4c), the sky is filled with the smoke and ash from bushfires… / In memory of the many who died and the hundreds and thousands more who lost their homes and livelihoods on this day 7th Feb 2009 Sony Alpha 350, Sony 18-70mm lens. / As Is from the camera.

  • Finally the cool change came last night…the moon rose through a haze of smoke from the bush-fires. / The afternoon sky had been a hideous grey-sepia, like some post-apocalyptic world, the roads bare, as the temperature reached 46.4… Thinking about all the people affected by the fires, and the incredible efforts of the fire-fighters…. Please have a look at Steven Sandner’s incredible documenting of the bushfires in his area. His photographs are astonishing and very scary….

Paul Louis Villani ♥ Paul Louis Villani….(I dated a Paul once…he was a prick) :| You on the other hand are not…you are one of the sweetest, nicest most generous men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, watching and collaborating with on this site. How much has discovering redbubble changed your life? Firstly, you’re an absolute darl for saying such nice things about me! Secondly, Red Bubble was and still is a shining beacon for anyone seeking, exposure, collaboration with like minded folk and creative development regardless of how long you have been on your artistic journey. / Allow me to ellaborate… some of us have not studied art(s) in any form, so we develop in an unorthodox and unguided manner. We ( I most definately incuded) learn most artistic lessons the hard way. Finding your style and developing skills, getting exposure and exhibiting, getting your work “out there” and into the publics buying eye… Not easy or cheap in the real world… Red Bubble gives you all those things in one place, you just cannot get better than that and the best thing is that this place is just going to get better and better. Do you have a ‘most memorable’ redbubble moment? Well, I’ve got a few… My first Melbourne Meet-Up I was completely petrified about meeting people whose work and auras I really admired. Writers meets, these are quite fun and I get the honour of sitting around sipping a beer and listen to some really talented people, read and discuss their works. I keep saying this but one day some of us are going to be telling people “I used to attend a writers met with that famous person!!” if you don’t know what I’m talking about check these out. The Aradale get together was pretty magical and we’ve got another meet up coming at The Astor Theatre that I’m hoping will be quite memorable too! :D You are a talented writer and musician…Do you still play music? Now you’ve hit a nerve!! hehe! Music has been a huge part of my life and it’s something that I’m finding hard to let go of. I still write but now lack the belief or self confidence to share or perform. I keep saying “one day” but until I see a reflection in the mirror that I can feel proud of my own music will remain behind closed doors. / In regards to music in general… If I was stranded on an island and I had a chice of my ipod or a big screen TV with Foxtel… I’d always choose the ipod! :D Your favorite piece of ‘jaw dropping’ redbubble art? Damn, just one? Can’t do it… Here’s a few! / / / Ode to Led Zeppelin / Scorpio (Just a few is an understatement…I had to pull another 10 images out because of time and space…PLV could sell bikinis to eskimos :D) How do you like to relax? Sport. I’m a bit of a sports nut. Cricket is my first love, with Aussie Rules Footy and Golf not far behind. / I’m n ot the kind of bloke who sits and watches TV but if there is a game on I become completely mesmorised! / My missus freaks out at the fact that usually I cannot sit still, I’m always fidgeting or doing something yet put Test Cricket on the TV and I’ll set there motionless for hours at a time!! An event you will never forget? Oh, that’s easy! My recent wedding and honeymoon. If you want to see some pics from the honeymoon you have to be on facebook and click here I have a Sony DSLR A700 in one hand and an endless Chicken Parmagiana in the other….I’m offering you one of them…which would you choose and why? Hahahaha!!! Not fair honey!!!! Alrighty, if the Parma was accompanied by an entree of Lasagna and a desert of Apple Strudel, my decision would be very easy!! Alas, I’ll have to chosse the Alpha! I’ve been a Minolta user for years before the digital evolution so the transition to Sony was quite simple The last live concert you attended? Well, depending as to when this interview goes “live”… the last concert I payed to see was U2 in Melbourne… Awesome!! The next concert that I’m being “sent” to as a photographer is “The Who” in Sydney 31st March, can’t wait! The name of a song you remember from your childhood? Seasons in The Sun by Terry jacks / Close To You / Little Help From My Fiends Joe Cockers version / Purple Bear by Mac Davis / La Bambola – Tu Mi Fai Gira / The Man who Shot Liberty Valance by Gene Pitney / Guitara Suona Piu Piano by Nicola Di Bari / Black Diamond by KISS / Blue Spanish Eyes by Engelbert Humperdinck / San Francisco by Scott McKenzie / Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum / Volare by Domenico Modugno / War Pigs by Black Sabbath….... / :D GOOGLE THEM! ;p Paul….to know that you will be a part of my memory forever is a blessing. I will always treasure you. :) x /
