  • When the Rain Fell

Rain fell in the January cold, / / Rushed up on her defenses in the night. / / And gates bent beneath the weight / / Of flooding words and waves of fact—/ / And it was far too late. / / There’s dry earth beneath her skin now / / That no flooding water will sate, / / She’s burned up with bitterness and painful anger, / / Tired of her silence beneath the roaring thunder. Rain fell down to chill and soak her through, / / Pooled around her ankles / / And swallowed up the tears / / Of hurricane anguish and currents of lies. / / And it’s been too many years / / To have prayed enough that her knees are raw / / From all the kneeling to a God who never hears. / / She’s weary from battles and won’t go to war. / / There’s nothing left to scream, nothing to say, / / Nothing left to do but swim away. Details / No abuse is too small. In the U.S., it is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, but I recommend, no matter the country you’re residing in or the month that you read this, be aware. All advertising money made on my website this month was donated to RAINN.

  • This is an expression, of some of my own life. I am on the road, most of the time. I drive around all over the metroplex, and love what I get to enjoy. I am Driver 749, and work for Hotline Delivery. Hope you enjoy your life, as much as I do mine. I am blessed to have all the friends who support me, and allow my freedom to express myself. All of them are a gift, that adds special color to my world. Where we go in life, is up to each of us, but having friends makes it that much better. Heres to the future!

  • This is of a house I seen, on my last little trip! It was early in the day, while I looking for my drop in Chicago. It was a wild shot, and caught my eye!

  • This is an image I captured, Byron, Illinios. It’s of the Byron Fire Deparment, on their way to their call. We all have our own jobs to do, inside our own communities, and then some far away. This one for those who serve us, when ever they get the call. It was turned into a watercolor, for my own expression. Its a coloriful world that I live in. It also has a zero % mark up, just for those who serve to protect us all.

  • Image captured by Darrell M. Moseley, while he was driving through Downtown Dallas Texas.

  • This image was taken while I was attempting to find a way to get on the tollway in Oklahoma. I was somewhere just off the Historical Route 66. I just could not stop for long, but you know I could not pass this up! Its not my nature to tresspass, and the sun would of been right at my camera anyway. I would of loved to have attempted getting more shots, but knew I needed to be on my way!

  • This is of a barn, in some feild in Illinois. It was a lot like most barns there. I just had a reason to stop and get out! My battery was dead, and I was able to charge using the plug on the one light fixture. The sun was bright, and almost overhead while I was charging my battery. I had to attempt to capture some of this mans farm. His Dad, was the first to show up, and he told me some stories about growing up there, when he was a kid! It is be a while, but I should be going back soon. I must be out of my mind, but I enjoyed sleeping in the van, and discovering more of America. Maybe getting a feeling of todays exploration. We got it good, but its hard to slow down, as it is to just pass it by! I hope with this image, I will be able to let some sunshine in to those who view it. One word of warning, he had the biggest Rockwholler, I have ever seen!

  • This is an ad for the GAP! It caught my eye, as I am looking for my next drop! It makes a large statement, for those who live in Chicago to see, or others who might pass through! I intend to get their help with supporting Flower Power Project! One person can be heard, but a group is louder! The more, the better our chances! I want everybody to go to gap.com.red , and leave a message stating, Flower Power Project, / and maybe a link to your contribution! Maybe the GAP, will like the statement the Project is making, and support the artist community with our efforts!

  • I captured this almost as soon as I got back into Texas! At the first rest stop, on 40 east!

  • This cowboy has been in the same spot as long as I can remember! I think he is Big Tex’s brother! They both are local icons in their on rights! Some dont know me, but most of my life has been close to Dallas, Texas! Thats where Big D, comes from!

  • There is a somewhat magical place where dreams live, and I have found it here on RB! I love this site, and had made wonderful connections with others who share some of the same passions I have! I hope will continue to grow till the very end! I am inspired by Art, and enjoy being a part of the artistic community! This is an image that captured the expressions of an unknown artist, that I loved very much! It to me was like magical, a combination of real, and fantacy! Its kind of hard to describe, but enjoyed the enviroment that was exposed by the missing roof! The open air, and how the artwork changed my first image captured of the trolley! My passion for art grows more everyday, and I am very inspired by all that is possiable, since joining RedBubble! This image is to Dreams, and where they lead us!

  • Orphan Works Bill Put on Hold

Hi everyone to follow is a copy of an email I received yesterday….thought you all might be interested: / ___ / FROM THE ILLUSTRATORS’ PARTNERSHIP / Senate Orphan Works Bill Put “on Hold” We’ve just received word that the Senate bill has been put “on hold.” In fact, there appear to be multiple holds on it. Senators who “hold” hotlined bills do not have to identify themselves nor give their reasons for holding it. Holds are temporary. We don’t know how many of you contacted your Senators on such short notice this afternoon, but many, many thanks to all of you who responded so rapidly. / / Most people are unaware of the process called hotlining. In the past it was used to pass non-controversial legislation, but increasingly, it’s being used to pass bills whose sponsors don’t want to see debate. An excellent article in Roll Call explains the process. Here’s an excerpt: Senate conservatives are upset that the leaders of both parties in the chamber have in recent years increasingly used a practice known as “hotlining” bills – previously used to quickly move noncontroversial bills or simple procedural motions – to pass complex and often costly legislation, in some cases with little or no public debate. The increase was particularly noticeable just before the August recess, when leaders hotlined more than 150 bills, totaling millions of dollars in new spending, in a period of less than a week. The practice has led to complaints from Members and watchdog groups alike that lawmakers are essentially signing off on legislation neither they nor their staff have ever read… In order for a bill to be hotlined, the Senate Majority Leader and Minority Leader must agree to pass it by unanimous consent, without a roll-call vote. The two leaders then inform Members of this agreement using special hotlines installed in each office and give Members a specified amount of time to object – in some cases as little as 15 minutes. If no objection is registered, the bill is passed. - From ‘Hotlined’ Bills Spark Concern / By John Stanton, Roll Call Staff / September 17, 2007 / To read the full article, go to: http://tinyurl.com/3p8×2u This is the second time the Senate Orphan Works bill has been hotlined this summer. The previous hotline came on June 5, the same week artists descended on Washington to urge lawmakers to oppose this controversial bill. The bill was put on hold that time too. Since bills can be hotlined without prior notice, we’ll all have to stay vigilant throughout the rest of this legislative session. Thanks again to all of you who responded so quickly. Over 60 organizations, representing more than 250,000 creators, are united in opposing these bills in their current form. Illustrators, photographers, fine artists, songwriters, musicians, and countless licensing firms all believe this bill will harm their small businesses. / Read the list: http://www.illustratorspartnership.org/01_topics/article.php?searchterm=00273
