Location: Rancho Cordova California / Technique: HDR, Layering & Fractalized / Workflow: HDRd in Matix – Layered in Cs4 – Fractalized / Equip: Canon 5D OG A wee bit late and a couple too many drinks while editing this image. Actually scrolled down most of the color palette and basically did a “eeni meeni miny mo” to select a color (#3c240a) and worked off the selection, hence a very busy & cluttered image. Im thinking this is not gonna stay on the bubble very long. but this image did put a smile on my face because when folks say Dont Drink & Drive, It should also apply to Photographers Dont Drink & Edit!!! Arrested Expansion is a symbolic scene that depicts a combination of self-excluding objects that might not be present in real life. Objects in the secluded room make the viewer feel claustrophobic and unreal, which might be compared to someone’s mental delusion based on a medical condition. Image is a mixture of photo stock with some 2D vectors, and 3D objects. Photoshop, 3ds max, Illustrator. / The most common cause of cardiac arrest is a heart rhythm disorder or arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation (VF). The heart has a built-in electrical system. When a contraction happens, blood is pumped. But in ventricular fibrillation, the electrical signals that control the pumping of the heart suddenly become rapid and chaotic. As a result, the lower chambers of the heart, the ventricles, begin to quiver (fibrillate) instead of contract, and they can no longer pump blood from the heart to the rest of the body. If blood cannot flow to the brain, it becomes starved of oxygen, and the person loses consciousness in seconds. This is an image of fire, i have not illustrated this image it is a ‘standard’ digitalk photograph the only changes i have made are cropping and colour corrections.
Same as the other one, except there’s some text added in here to make the cup feel less empty. Not sure which one I prefer. =P

A female Rufeous Hummingbird hovering over a Red Hot Poker while bather in the golden light of the setting sun. I like this image because it is the only one I have ever taken where the hummer turned and made eye contract with the camera.
Yes… I did get too close and got wet!.. Ohh the perils of photography! / I Have to date sold 3 x mounted prints of this image.
I took a trike ride through Portland, Oregon today and this is one of several that I will be posting on “the big city”.
Again, another shot from Paso Robles – “Portrait of a Hot Rod Couple” – no that’s not Chris Isaak in the front seat…. however, I think he might have spent just as much time on his hair! The amount of beautifully painted machines around the couple is jaw dropping for me…. I’m defintely coming back here next year!

I went for a hot air balloon ride a couple of weeks ago – it’s quite the way to travel. I was surprised by the accuracy of the ‘steering’. The wind direction varies with altitude, so the pilot took us up and down into different air currents to control our direction. We landed within a few hundred metres of the target – after a 20km flight. Mind you, we did crash into a tree during the landing. This is an image looking into the ballon from the basket.
