Aerial view of a trotting horse race, weird sort of activity when you think about it, that becomes even more apparent in some of the beautifull abstract imagery it produces.

This is an expression I made about life! We are all in the race together, who will win, will only be known at the end! Its being in the race, that makes Dreams come true, and Life rewarding for those who Dare to chase their Dreams! Add color where you can, if thats what you choose to do! Only one will win the race, but You will never even have a chance to Win, if you dont enter!
Along with another fellow redbubbler, KneeKnee, we were lurking in the bushes waiting for the race to start …. the noise as they approached was quite amazing! Parkes, NSW. Thank you for looking.
This is yet another image from my morning expedition I got a bit excited – lol!!!!

Barrel racing is a timed event. / IT is open to junior cowgirls and cowboys and to open cowgirls. junior barrel racers must wear a helmut (or what is called a skull cap). The horse and rider must complete a circuit by weaving a clover leaf pattern around three drums. / If a drum is knocked over the competetor incurs a 5 second penality. The cowgirl/boy who gets the fastest time wins
Racehorses training for the big day. The day for horses, trainers, jockeys and strappers begins before sunrise. My 7 yr old retired thourghbred horse.
My fella hoping for a win. / Shot at Newmarket Races, Suffolk, UK in August 09 in colour. I like it in black and white with strong contrast to make the white shirt and betting slip ‘pop’. / Nikon D60. My first Red Bubble featured photograph (still can’t believe it was on the Homepage!!)
Driving through Melbourne, I saw this group at a tram stop, presumably on their way to the horse races (a major event here during the spring time!). Stuck in traffic, I had the opportunity to observe the three of them….their body language, their behaviour. I realised that the scene could be “read into” in a number of ways…...and that potentially “horse-racing” was the last thing on their minds! I have blurred out the background and street noise of this photo to add to that “crazy, muddled brain” feeling, that sometimes leads us into making bad decisions…...... Shot in Melbourne, Australia on a Pentax K100. Runner Up in “Melbourne Cup” Challenge.
Marker illustration Inspired by the running of the 2009 Melbourne Cup!
