The Old General Hospital… / / It was built in 1897 and was home to Newfoundlands first operating room. The hospital has been closed and condemed for many many years now. Rumor has it that many dark and hideous things were done behind its doors, things that are better left forgotten… Only memories are left now that can haunt its dark and terrifying hallways. / / Cinderellas wicked step sisters would be in their glory having her scrub these floors. / / Canon Rebel / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography. / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / More in my “Darkerside of Life Series”... / / / / / /

While travelling in Romania I met a mysterious woman whose wild azure eyes burned right through my skull. She told me of a crazy party at a secret club that was on that night. / It happened once a year and was only known to a select few. I asked where it was so she drew a map on my hand and told me to meet her there at 12am. / I turned up a bit early and the club was shut, quiet as a graveyard on a winters night. / So I went back to my hotel and read a book.
Model – Mishkamink I turned Mishka into Emily the Strange. Took a bit of work and some mad photoshop skillz, but I think the result speaks for itself. No, it’s not Gogo Yubari. Emily the Strange character copyright Rob Reger and Cosmic Debris Etc. Inc. / Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
/ A flock of birds, it swooped and danced, Held my gaze while I stood entranced. They moved as one through the atmosphere A minuet as they drew near. Thousands of birds in a flight of grace; Each tiny bird kept its own place. The percussion beat of their drumming wings Keeping time while the multitude sings, And I can hear them on their stage in the air A traveling show to who knows where. Perhaps a summer home, a perch, A quiet place in a Silver Birch. An end to the long dance, a place to rest Where wing and song can pause in a feathered nest.
Eggsecution gave you gore…now witness terror in the prequel. From the same chicken’s bottom they came, brothers thrown together in a world of omlettes, scrambling and cakes. Their fortunes would be forged in a low quality carboard box, their struggles played out in the saucepan. Eggsecution…the beginning. Certificate 18

Every now and then I like to “step outside” my boundary of usual subject matter and do something really different. This is one of those images. Captured outside the town of Central City, Colorado, I happened by this scene by luck, along with the other 2 cemeteries close by it. Long closed, these are the real deal “wild west’ cemeteries, long forgotten, long not seen. Looking like a scene out of the movie “Pale Rider”.....I had to photograph it. The ruts in the ground were still visible from where the old wagons used to carry the bodies up from the town. Quite an amazing place…. / Thoughts welcomed! —-John —-—-—-—-—-—-— / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved.
